| In the era of the rapid development of information technology and the promotion of cultural self-confidence,skimming the entire book is increasingly important.Learning to skim the entire book can not only cultivate students’ good reading habits,but also develop their ability to read autonomously.At present,the teaching of skimming is mostly from the perspective of skimming the text,and the teaching of skimming for the entire book is less.Although the study of the entire book has a variety of teaching forms and rich curriculum types,it lacks a skimming study of the entire book at a specific operational level.This research explores the current teaching practice of skimming through the whole book from the perspective of the whole book and skimming teaching.This study is inspired by Ye Shengtao’s skimming instruction theory,combined with his case analysis of the entire book,to explore the teaching of skimming the entire book in the Chinese classroom at elementary school.The analysis is mainly carried out through the guidance before,during and after skimming throughout the book.Specifically,it analyzes from the micro perspective of time allocation,bibliographic selection,and skimming process guidance of the entire book.From a breakthrough to a comprehensive analysis,a set of organic skimming systems has been formed.In this study,Hebei J Primary School was selected as a typical case,and the implementation status of the skimming teaching of the whole book was thoroughly explored through observation,interview and questionnaire survey.The research content mainly includes the basic status of skimming the entire book of the school,including bibliography selection and curriculum setting;the content and process of skimming teaching of the entire book,including analysis of instructional design and course records;and skimming teaching of the entire book The actual effect analysis.Therefore,by exploring the implementation of skimming teaching throughout the book,finding problems and deficiencies in it,and proposing improvement suggestions and measures in a targeted manner,it can be more beneficial to promote skimming teaching throughout the book.Analysis of survey data shows that the entire book skimming teaching has formed a relatively complete system,but there are also many problems and deficiencies.Mainly include:First,the teaching goals do not combine the requirements of the curriculum standards and textbooks for the entire book;second,the teaching process of skimming the entire book is not perfect;third,the guidance of skimming the books is not interesting;The skimming of this book lacks a good reading environment.Aiming at the shortcomings in skimming teaching of the entire book,this research puts forward some specific development suggestions to promote the improvement of skimming teaching in the whole book.Mainly include:First,standardize the design of the skimming teaching goal of the whole book;second,strengthen the guidance of the skimming teaching process of the whole book,including helping students to arrange reading time,selecting textbooks,cultivating students’ habits of taking notes,and training Students ’ability to think about problems and develop the habit of reading and summarizing students;third,to stimulate students’ interest in skimming the entire book;fourth,to create a good environment for skimming the entire book. |
