Ethylene is the first unsaturated hydrocarbon that students learn.Its functional group“carbon-carbon double bond” and special chemical properties are the key links for students to learn.Ethylene is closely related to production and life,so it sets real problems in teaching.The situation,and let students participate in the process of inquiry,is an effective teaching strategy to promote students to construct the conceptual model of ethylene.This study analyzes the relevant knowledge of ethylene from the perspective of modeling teaching.According to the requirements and procedures of nested inquiry teaching,it proposes the idea of modeling-oriented nested inquiry teaching design,develops the teaching design case of “ethylene”,and conducts teaching practice.the study.This study firstly combs and summarizes the related literatures of nested inquiry teaching and modeling teaching,and defines the concept and connotation of nested inquiry teaching and modeling teaching.Secondly,it analyzes the teaching procedures of two teaching modes.Compared with the design,the nested inquiry teaching design idea of modeling orientation is determined,and the teaching process of guiding input,concept exploration,model construction,model refinement and model application is designed.Then,according to the students' original cognitive characteristics and knowledge experience Prepare the pre-test questionnaire of ethylene,and take 425 students from a high school in Shandong Province as the research object,conduct surveys,analyze the data results,and provide reference for teaching design;then analyze the chemical textbook content of ethylene from the perspective of modeling teaching.Integrate modeling-oriented nested inquiry teaching design ideas,develop ethylene teaching design cases,and carry out teaching practice with the above 425 students as research objects;finally prepare ethylene post-test questionnaires,conduct research on subjects,collect,processing research data,using SPSS21.0 data analysis software to achieve the effect of teaching implementation Statistics and Analysis.The results show that:(1)Model-oriented nested inquiry teaching can effectively promote the study of students' ethylene concept.(2)Strengthening the linkage between the valence bond structure,spatial structure and chemical properties and the various dimensions of the reaction can promote the systematic construction of the ethylene conceptual model.The innovation of instructional design lies in:(1)combining the nested inquiry teaching mode and the modeling teaching mode,and proposing a new teaching mode--the nesting inquiry teaching mode of modeling orientation.(2)Prepare the front and back test questionnaires for ethylene,and develop the operable instructional design according to the actual situation of the students,which provides a tool for reference in the future.
