On November 29,2018,the National Conference on the Rule of Law in Education was held in Beijing.The task of building the rule of law in education in the new era was studied and deployed.Ruling education according to law in an all-round way will protect the dream of a powerful country in education.The important spirit of the Party and government working conference on the rule of law in education,as well as the promulgation of a series of documents,all reflect the state’s emphasis on the healthy growth of adolescents.Morality and rule of law course is the main channel of law education in compulsory education stage,which basically undertakes most of the content of law education for junior high school students.The scientific and effective implementation of the rule of law education in the course of morality and rule of law is conducive to the healthy growth of junior high school students’ body and mind,the completion of the goal of the course of morality and rule of law in junior high school and the establishment of a socialist country ruled by law in China.The design of the new edition of the textbook "Morality and Rule of Law" conforms to the characteristics of junior high school students’ physical and mental development.It reflects the great importance attached by the whole country and society to junior high school students’ rule of law education.At the same time,through field research,junior high school students have a certain knowledge base of rule of law,which shows that our country’s rule of law education has achieved certain stage results.However,there are still some problems in the moral rule of law education in junior middle school,such as the superficial goal of the rule of law education,the lack of pertinence in teaching methods and the lack of legal literacy of moral rule of law teachers.The main reasons are that some teachers and students are still deeply influenced by examination-oriented education,the deviation of teachers’ educational ideas and the insufficient participation of students in learning.In view of this,the following pertinent countermeasures are put forward: first,to evaluate the teaching effect with multi-dimensional objectives and reduce the impact of examination-oriented education;second,to strengthen teaching research and explore efficient teaching law methods;third,to create a cultural atmosphere of legal education on campus to play the educational function of the second classroom;fourth,to strengthen the construction of teachers’ and improve teachers’ legal literacy.In a word,it is necessary to promote the effective benefits of rule of law education in moral and rule of law courses in junior high school through the collaborative efforts of society,schools and families.
