Driven by the concept of new curriculum reform,the 2016 new PEP-edition(MOE-compiled)Chinese textbooks have rearranged the texts in the form of thematic units.Such changes in the layout of textbooks have also determined the changes in teaching methods to a certain extent and single-text teaching model can no longer adapt to the teaching content of thematic units in the new textbooks.Under this circumstance,this thesis cites the example of Unit Two on the theme of family affection in Grade Seven Volume One of 2016 new PEP-edition(MOE-compiled)Chinese textbooks.Based on drawing upon the teaching essence of traditional classes,the thesis starts from the new concept on middle school Chinese teaching and solving current teaching problems and constructs the junior middle school Chinese unit teaching model under the concept of new curriculum.The thesis consists of the following parts.Part One is the preface.It introduces the topic selection origin,topic selection significance,research status,and research methods.Part Two introduces the principles and strategies for constructing the thematic unit teaching model.The principles reflect the basic rules and general philosophy for constructing the unit teaching model and plays a dominant role in model construction.Therefore,this thesis firstly discusses the principles for constructing the thematic unit teaching model and clarifies that in model construction,we should follow the fundamental principles of feasibility,systematicness,inspiration,and integration of unified requirement with teach students in accordance with their aptitude.Strategies are the teaching guidelines we should follow in implementing unit teaching in model construction.This thesis proposes the alternative strategy,cooperative learning strategy,and integrated strategy.Part Three discusses the means to construct the thematic unit teaching model.The means refers to the pathway analysis on how to realize the thematic unit teaching model.The thesis proposes that in the process of applying the unit teaching model,we should proceed from the following three aspects: determining the teaching objectives,combining the teaching content,and optimizing the teaching process.Part Four discusses the stages for constructing the effective teaching model.Based on following the principles for constructing the unit teaching model,adopting appropriate strategies for thematic unit teaching,and starting from the means of determining the teaching objectives,combining the teaching content,and optimizing the teaching process,the thesis constructs the reading expansion model,value concept learning model,and cooperative learning model,and discusses the operation procedures of each model in detail.Part Five discusses cases and effects for constructing the thematic unit teaching model.Through the case design and case record for unit teaching,the thesis demonstrates the teaching process of the unit model.Meanwhile,the thesis also further clarifies that the adoption of unit teaching model helps student form an integrated knowledge system,enhance students' self-study ability,improve their learning efficiency,and develop learning resources.It is found through the research that the adoption of unit teaching model for the new textbooks arranged in the form of thematic units can not only help students learn,but also improve the teaching form.This has not only supplemented middle school Chinese unit teaching,but also provided new directions and development concepts for Chinese teaching.
