Lu Xun is a great master of language and a pioneer in writing vernacular Chinese.The thoughts and artistic achievements reflected in his works are of epoch-making significance.Lu Xun's works occupy a very important position in Chinese textbooks of middle school,particularly his novels contain deeply cultural connotations and heart-shaking thought powers.This thesis takesthe three novels of Lu Xunasexamples-Village Opera,Kong Yiji,and Hometown,whichhave been compiled by the Ministry of Education into the current Chinese teaching materials for middle school,alongwith the investigation and analysis in teaching status of Lu Xun's novels in middle schools to generalize the existing problems in the current teaching of Lu Xun's novels: indifferent learning attitude of students,weak corpus accumulation of students,and insufficient language sense training of teachers.From the perspectiveof “language construction and application”,it proposes solutions to problems: inspire interests from expecting view,enlarge language structure with diversified interpretations,and apply language in multiple ways.It also provides middle schoolChinese teachers with operable and functional suggestions in Lu Xun's novels.
