In the era when international exchange and cooperation became normal,the need of open-minded talents with international awareness is even more urgent in modern society,which makes the ability of cross-cultural communication became the necessary quality for them.Under the background when history teaching in secondary schools emphasizes the cultivation of core literacy,international understanding education is based on the needs of the development of the times,focusing on cultivating students’ cultural tolerance,understanding ability and awareness of win-win cooperation.It helps students to be familiar with international rules and actively participate in global communication.Because of its rich content of international understanding education,history discipline has its advantages in the training of international understanding education.The education of international understanding in middle school history teaching is conducive to Stimulating students’ interest,Broadening students’ international horizons,and helping students better integrate into the world.Based on the research of international understanding education in middle school history teaching,this paper defines the concept,analyses the significance and content of international understanding education,and puts forward the implementation strategies and problems of international understanding education in middle school history teaching.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,this paper is divided into four chapters:The first chapter discusses the importance of international understanding education in middle school history teaching.It mainly includes three aspects: helping to broaden students’ international horizons;helping to cultivate students’ national feelings;helping to stimulate students’ sense of social responsibility.The second chapter introduces the content of international understanding education in middle school history teaching.It mainly includes four aspects: education of national cultural identity,education of understanding of different cultures,education of cognition of international relations and education of human rights.Chapter three narrates the implementation strategies of international understanding education in middle school history teaching.It mainly includes four aspects: setting teaching objectives scientifically;flexibly applying various teaching methods;adopting various extracurricular activities;using multiple and reasonable evaluation methods.The fourth chapter gives and introduction of the problems that should be paid attention to in the education of international understanding in history teaching in middle schools.That is,teachers are supposed to infiltrate education of international understanding under the guidance of historical materialism,and develop a correct international understanding of educational concepts.
