| STEM education has risen from the United States.More and more countries are now aware of the importance of STEM education.STEM education is about the integration of science(S),technology(T),engineering(E),and mathematics(M).There are many ways to integrate,such as through problem learning,through project learning,and through engineering design.In the practice of STEM education,we can give full play to the student’s dominant position and help students develop their individuality.This paper analyzes the research status of STEM education both at home and abroad through literature analysis,combines the features of existing STEM project activities at home and abroad,and determines the theme of the STEM activity of this thesis—"Environmental Pollution Management".This topic is both biologically compulsory three.In the ecological engineering content,but also in close contact with life.In addition,the three projects of "making sewage treatment equipment","making ecological air purifiers",and "producing soil remediation models"under the theme of"Environmental Pollution Treatment"were identified.The learning objectives and learning content are clearly defined in the activity design of each project,and there is also a process evaluation table.In combination with the engineering design process and 5E teaching model,the QIEIE model that is based on other researchers is identified as problem—inquiry—design—building—improvement—evaluation,and a part of the entire activity is selected for relevant instructional design.Practice the activity,evaluate the activity from both the teacher and student perspectives,and then modify the activity design.Through the evaluation of the activities,it was found that in the design of the activities,in terms of the objectives of the activities,because the STEM education emphasizes the development of students’ comprehensive quality,the design of the objectives should also be rich and varied.At the same time,the setting of activity goals should be based on national curriculum objectives.Each goal is not arbitrarily determined,it must meet the national curriculum objectives,and it must meet the students’ physical and mental development rules.In terms of activities,first of all,the choice of content is very important.It must have practical and theoretical significance.It is necessary to pay attention to the characteristics of the student’s cognitive development,but also to the characteristics of the subject.The selection of STEM activities should be linked to the students’ existing knowledge and life experience,and focus on contextual teaching.Second,in the organization of content,attention should be paid to coordination,and it is required to write clearly.In terms of evaluation,procedural evaluation is emphasized,and the content of evaluation is diversified,and the main body of evaluation is also diversified. |
