"Styling · performance" is not only the most representative field in,but also the ontology of art subject.In lack of such art creation and practice,art classes for junior middle school students lose their unique charm.However,in the teaching process of only one class at a time,due to the limitation caused by short time and simplified textbook interpretations,our teaching has been focused too much on imparting knowledge and skills by languages and ignored the students' direct experience of"styling·performance" in art,which has seriously hindered the improvement of art teaching quality.In order to improve this situation,a unitized researched-based learning mode under the guidance of the core quality-oriented education concept appears to be very necessary.Unitized research-based learning is a brand-new education idea,the essence of which is to guide students to think "like experts",hence to develop students' abilities to acquire knowledge,apply knowledge and solve problems.In unitized research-based learning,the overall teaching goal matters a lot,and is gradually achieved by a series of single classes.This learning meets the requirements of the new curriculum standard,emphasizes the transformation of educational concepts,gives full play to the concept of"people-oriented" in teaching,and adopts a learning method of " independent,cooperation and exploration" that can fully mobilize the students' learning initiative.Besides,it takes theory and practice in an equal position during the learning process.Given all those advantages of this kind of learning,I wish to further study it based on previous ones so as to enhance students' art accomplishments.The paper consists of five parts.In the first part,it is illustrated the concept of unitized research-based learning and the correlation between unitized research-based learning and the learning process in "styling performance".In the second part,it is mainly analyzed and summarized the present art teaching in junior middle schools.In the third part,it is discussed the application methods of unitized research-based learning in "styling performance" based on teaching content setting and class time arrangements respectively.The fourth part is about the practices of art teaching,which depicts the teaching of unitized research-based learning under the theme of "Pattern and Life".In the fifth part,it is mainly expounded the prospect of unitized research-based learning.In this thesis,the methods of literature research,action research,comparative research and observation are mainly adopted to study how to use the unitized research-based learning to improve junior high school students' art creativity and to comprehensively develop their art accomplishments on art classes from the perspectives of theoretical analysis and practical exploration.It is proven,through students' on-class responses and their art works,that unitized research-based learning is an effective method for both learning and teaching.The author will also continue to study this topic to further enhance the effectiveness and operability in teaching practice and contribute to art education.
