Teaching research is not only the sources of the development of education and teaching,but necessary road to the development of teachers' specialization.Under the new curriculum background,biology teachers' role has been changed from the traditional knowledge importer into a teaching expert taking all roles-a developer of biology course,a prompter of students' learning,a researcher of biology teachingThe ability of teaching research influences the level of teaching and the quality of education.So we must attach much importance to the research ability in teaching of high-school biology teachers.According to this,this research analyzed the results of the investigation on the teaching research ability of high school teachers in Shaanxi province and reached some conclusions from the result:generally speaking,the research ability in teaching of high-school biology teachers is not high,but the ability of observation and communication and cooperation is strong;the ability of data collection and sorting is not up to much.There are big problems in the ability of innovation,schematic design,theory application,practical operation and literal expression.The background factors of teachers including teaching experience,education,professional title and school type have impact on research ability in teaching.There is no significant difference in teaching research ability among teachers who have different teaching experience.In general,teachers with 11-15 years' experience have the best teaching research ability,and teachers with masters degree have higher teaching research ability than those with bachelors degree.There is also no significant difference in teaching research ability of teachers with different job titles in many aspects.Teachers with senior titles are better than those with lower titles in both teaching research ability and many aspects development.Teachers in different school types have conspicuous difference in teaching research ability,for example,the teaching research ability of teachers in provincial-level key high school is better than provincial-level regular school,but the latter is better than ordinary school.After interview analysis,I have found the reason why there exists problem in high school biology teachers' teaching research ability.From the angel of teachers,because of some teachers' aim of research being not clear,experimental research consciousness being weak,and improperty of theoretical knowledge,it's hard to promote the teaching research ability.Looking from the school angel,the teaching condition is backward and the teaching research management is improper,which led to the difficulty of development in teaching research.In the end,I put forward some measures to improve teachers' ability of teaching research,which include:teachers should correct the motivation of teaching research,attach importance motivation of teaching research,develope the bisic knowledge of theory,strengthen the design of teaching research scheme,improve the ability of practical operation and develope good habit of writing.Schools need to improve the necessary condition of teaching research,create the atmosphere of teaching,and strengthen the management of teaching research.I hope the research can provide reference for the development and improvement of high school biology teachers' ability of teaching research.
