| With the concept of student-oriented education deeply rooted in the people’s mind,the advantages of cooperative learning are increasingly prominent.It is not only beneficial to primary school students’ English learning,but also can help primary school students improve their sense of cooperation and cooperation ability in cooperation with others.At the same time,the current foreign language teaching focuses on deep learning,and the study of thematic meaning is particularly important in classroom teaching.The process of exploring thematic meaning depends on a group of people working together from different perspectives according to their personal strengths,so as to break through the limitations of vision and obtain a complete and profound understanding.In view of this,this paper proposes a primary school English Cooperative Learning Based on thematic meaning exploration.Based on previous cooperative learning theories,this study firstly defines the connotation of cooperative learning based on thematic meaning exploration,and constructs six elements,including personal responsibility,positive interdependence,interpersonal skills,face-to-face facilitating interaction and group evaluation,with the task of thematic meaning exploration as the core.Then,a classroom observation table was prepared,and 18 classes randomly selected from the “evaluation of class cases of unit theme teaching line” of primary English discipline in Tianjin in 2019 were taken as observation objects.Finally,based on the observation results,this paper analyzes the existing problems in the current Cooperative English learning in primary schools.This paper finds the following problems in the current cooperative learning of English in primary schools: the lack of independent thinking before students’ cooperation;the lack of problem exploration in teachers’ guidance;the neglect of students’ experience in cooperative learning;the lack of cooperative skills among group members;the dilution of Teachers leading role;the difficulty of reflecting thematic meaning and the simple evaluation method in feedback form.In view of the problems existing in cooperative learning activities,this paper puts forward a series of suggestions: pay attention to the preparation of cooperative learning and think independently in advance;enrich teachers’ guidance methods and try to explore problems;choose the types of activities around the theme and pay attention to students’ experience;clarify the responsibilities of group members and infiltrate cooperation strategies;Change the role of teachers and play their leading role;use multiple feedback forms to highlight thematic meaning;enrich learning evaluation methods and set evaluation criteria. |
