Oral English is a very compulsory course for students who major in Aviation Service in secondary vocational schools,and it has a strong practicality.English teaching in Aviation Service should pay more attention to students' oral English communication ability.In the teaching of Oral English for Aviation Service,employment-oriented implementation and assessment play an important role in the cultivation of students' comprehensive professional ability,and it can also help students put their learning knowledge into practice,so as to better adapt to the future employment situation and career development.Through literature review,the author found that there were few literature research materials on employment-oriented oral English teaching in secondary vocational schools,and most of these researches were not analyzed from the aspect of a specific major.So the author chose Aviation Service to carry out the teaching research,in order to examine the influence of employment-oriented method on the oral English teaching of Aviation Service in secondary vocational schools.The author selected 60 five-year vocational students majoring in Aviation Service as the experimental subjects and conducted an 18-week experiment.These students were divided into two classes: an experimental class and a normal class.The experiment was aimed to investigate two questions: 1.Can the employment-oriented oral English teaching method improve the oral English abilities of the students majoring in Aviation Service in secondary vocational schools? 2.What are the attitudes of the students in the experimental class towards the employment-oriented oral teaching method? In the course of the experiment,using SPSS 24.0 statistical software,the author analyzed the collected scores by independent sample t-test and paired sample t-test.The author also compared the grade distribution of the pretest and post-test scores of the experimental class and the normal class,and analyzed the results of the questionnaires and the interviews of the students in the experimental class.Based on the experimental data and survey results,the findings of this study were as follows:1.The students in the experimental class showed greater improvement in both the scores and the abilities of oral English.Employment-oriented oral English teaching improved the students' comprehensive oral English abilities.The students in the experimental class showed greater progress and promotion in both average score and excellent rate of grades.2.The students in the experimental class had a higher evaluation and recognition of the employment-oriented oral English teaching,and had a better attitude and enthusiasm towards oral English learning.This study could further enrich the researches of oral English teaching in secondaryvocational schools,especially in the field of Aviation Service.The experiment of employment-oriented oral English teaching has successfully improved the students' learning level and learning effect.Meanwhile,it also provided useful advice for oral English teachers when they teach the students majoring in Aviation Service: for instance,the usage of oral language teaching materials should be focused on practicality,oral language should be practised in certain circumstances,and oral English teaching evaluation methods should be focused on process,etc..In the future,English teachers should focus on employment-oriented teaching method so as to effectively improve students' oral knowledge and comprehensive competence,and the students can therefor master a better competitive ability for their employment.
