| With the in-depth development of international exchanges,the requirements of various industries on English are also increasing.How to better train students and make their language ability meet the requirements of post language ability is an important challenge for English teaching in vocational colleges at present.Higher vocational English reform has been carried out for more than ten years,and some achievements have been made,but there are still some problems in public English teaching.Educational objectives are not clear,teaching quality is low,teaching content cannot meet the needs of students,and the evaluation system needs to be improved,which are not conducive to the healthy development of public English.Therefore,it is necessary to deepen the reform of public English so as to cultivate interdisciplinary talents who are skilled and competent for the society.Starting from the analysis of the current situation of English in vocational colleges in a city,this study explores countermeasures for the reform of English curriculum in vocational colleges based on the "employment-oriented" training.In higher vocational college to build socialism,on the basis of theory and humanistic theory,combined with the author’s work in higher vocational colleges a line more than ten years experience,using literature study and empirical study,300 students of this school six different professional and has carried on the questionnaire survey,14 unit of choose and employ persons 15 public English teachers to our school for the interview.This paper investigates the current situation of English teaching in vocational colleges from the aspects of curriculum design,curriculum content and implementation,curriculum evaluation and so on.In combination with the "employment-oriented" and the latest opinions on higher vocational schools and professional construction plan issued by the Ministry of Education,this paper proposes employment-oriented public English curriculum reform measures in higher vocational colleges,and puts forward reasonable and effective measures for public English curriculum reform in accordance with the principle of "industry-education integration,school-enterprise cooperation".First of all,the school should make an accurate positioning of this course and carry out various teaching activities to cultivate students’ independent learning ability with the goal of cultivating students’ vocational English ability.Second,in the process of curriculum system construction must pay attention to the two big problems,on the one hand,still have to attach importance to the traditional big class teaching system at the same time,the innovation of teaching mode,establishing diversified evaluation mechanism,actively promoting cooperative learning group,etc.,on the other hand should make full use of multimedia and English learning APP etc.Various kinds of teaching resources,employment oriented design of project teaching,strengthening students’ professional English ability;Third,strengthen the cooperation between schools and enterprises,transfer the classroom to the field of enterprises,give play to the advantages of practical teaching of enterprises.On the issue of teachers,teachers themselves should establish a sense of transformation,strengthen learning and training,schools should provide teachers with learning and practice opportunities. |
