Lu Ji,as the "great sage of Tai Kang period",not only occupies a place in the literary world of the western Jin Dynasty,but also has a great influence on later generations.52 poems,2 fu and 7 essays of Lu Ji are selected in the ZhaoMing Anthology,which can be called "the excellent reference for writing articles and the source of the brilliant works".In addition,only Lu Ji's works are selected in the two categories of "Lun Wen" and "Lian Zhu".This phenomenon is remarkable among all the writers in the ZhaoMing Anthology.These Lu Ji's literary works selected in the ZhaoMing Anthology are either classic works or accord with the aesthetic standards of the selected writers.Examining Lu Ji's works selected in the ZhaoMing Anthology has positive significance for analyzing Lu Ji's literary features,exploring Xiao Tong's literary preference and refining the selection criteria of the ZhaoMing Anthology.This paper do a overall and detailed research of the theme?content and emotions of Lu Ji's poetry?fu and essays selected in the ZhaoMing Anthology by analyzing Lu Ji's family literature ? life experience ? personality traits ? the political and cultural conditions of the western Jin Dynasty,and compare the selected works with other not included in the anthology,to explore the selected standard of the ZhaoMing Anthology.At the same time,combined with the status of the ZhaoMing Anthology in the Tang Dynasty,this paper studies the dissemination and acceptance of Lu Ji's works in the Tang Dynasty,and explores the value of Lu Ji's works and their influence on later generations further.The introduction of the paper states Lu Ji's life story ? the condition of his works' veisions and circulations and the general situation of his works which be selected by the ZhaoMing Anthology briefly.The main body of this paper was divided into six chapters:Chapter one analyzes Lu Ji's poetry selected by the ZhaoMing Anthology.The ZhaoMing Anthology selected 24 categories of poems,8 of which included Lu Ji's poems,and collected the most number of poems in the whole anthology.According toit,We can see the importance of Lu Ji obviously.In every section of this chapter,the condition of this kind of poetry and the poems' number belonged to it are illustrated firstly,and combined with Lu Ji's life experience,family literature,personality,mentality,politics and cultural environment he lives,this paper analyzes the contents,thoughts and emotions of the selected poems of Lu Ji,and compares them with the unselected poems of the same topic,summarizing the common characteristics and uniqueness of the selected poems.Chapter two discusses the features of Lu Ji's poems selected in the ZhaoMing Anthology.Lu Ji's poems are characterized by "numerous" and "clear",among which "numerous" is divided into "numerous of emotions" and "numerous of words".Lu Ji's poems' "numerous of emotions" has a lot to do with his life experience of breaking the country,serving for hostile state,and treading on thin ice in the chaotic western Jin Dynasty.The complex life causes the multilevel emotion in his poetry,each kind of emotion intermingle and tangle,making the emotions more strong.The "numerous of words" is reflected in the application of fu's writing skills,the pursuit of gorgeous language decoration and word carving,and the frequent poetic repetition in his writing,which is related to the general mood of the literary circles in the western Jin Dynasty and Lu Li's character and writing habit.The "clear" of Lu Ji's poems has been paid less attention to,but the use of "clear" is emphasized in a large number of his poems.Part of the poems,especially the yuefu poems,showed the distinct clear characteristics,which had a certain influence on the writing of landscape poems in the Southern Dynasty.But no matter "numerous" or "clear",it is the result that Lu Ji pays attention to the poetic writing skill and thinking ability.Chapter three and chapter four discusses Lu Ji's Fu and Essays Selected by the ZhaoMing Anthology.Lu Ji's fu and essays are less than poems selected by the ZhaoMing Anthology,which are all classic works.As for fu,Tan Shi Fu and Wen Fu are selected by the categories of Sorrow and Lun Wen severally.Tan Shi Fu is a representative work of Lu Ji's lyric small fu,full of sentimental feelings and the sadness of moving away,in the ideological connotation and depth far beyond the other selected lyric small fu.As the only fu in Lun Wen category,Wen Fu plays animportant role not only in the history of literary criticism,but also in its literary value.In terms of essay,Lu Ji's works are selected in the six categories of Biao,Xu,Song,Lun,Lian Zhu and Diao Wen in the ZhaoMing Anthology.These works are full of true feelings,gorgeous words or blending of rational thought and emotions,which,on the basis of following the features of these categories,clearly reflect Lu Ji's personal creative characteristics and have high literary value.Chapter five explores the selected standards from Lu Ji's works selected by the ZhaoMing Anthology.Although Lu Ji's works in the ZhaoMing Anthology are different in literary form and emotion,in general,they present some common features:express the writer's emotions?have elegant content and pursue the rhetorical beauty.These features are same as the selected standards in the foreword of the ZhaoMing Anthology approximately.However,Xiao Tong presents some works which have Lu Ji's own unique style beside basic standards,showing Xiao's understanding and appreciation of Lu Ji.In addition,Wen Xin Diao Long and Shi Pin also discuss Lu Ji'literary works before the ZhaoMing Anthology,comparing the comments in three books and we can find that three writers carve words of Lu Ji's works embody the seiko,the pursuit of beauty,pay attention to the characteristics of the sounds are praise,attitude to this with the literary style has the mark.However,due to different literary concepts,the three writer's criticism of Lu Ji's works is reflected in different aspects.This can help us know further about the artistic features of Lu Ji's works and the selected standards of the ZhaoMing Anthology.Chapter six studies the dissemination and acceptance of Lu Ji's works in the Tang Dynasty.The ZhaoMing Anthology has deep impact on scholarism?literature?imperial competitive examination and so on in the Tang Dynasty.Therefore,the anthology's traces can often be found in the works of writers in the Tang Dynasty.As the author with the most selected poems,Lu Ji is influenced by the popularity of the ZhaoMing Anthology inevitably.Some of the Tang Dynasty writers learn the words or sentences of Lu Ji's works,others write his experience in their poems or essays,creating lots of brilliant literary outputs.Some books such as the Yue Fu Gu Ti YaoJie?Wen Jing Mi Fu Lun?Type of Poem and so on also have comments of Lu Ji's literary creation.Besides,calculating Lu Ji's works which be most took example by writers of the Tang Dynasty,and comparing with Lu Ji's works selected by the ZhaoMing Anthology,we can explore the relation between the anthology with Lu Ji further and analyze the ZhaoMing Anthology's impact on the dissemination of Lu Ji's works.In short,this paper combines the study of Lu Ji's literary creations with the ZhaoMing Anthology,analyzing the topics and artistic features of his poetry?fu and essays to explore Xiao Tong's literary ideas and selection criteria of the ZhaoMing Anthology,in addition,investigating the dissemination and acceptance of Lu Ji's works in the Tang Dynasty.This paper aims to analyze Lu Ji's works in the ZhaoMing Anthology carefully,and combines the characters of the western Jin Dynasty and the psychology of literati's creation,trying to recall the true condition of Lu Ji's literary works and explore the relation between Lu Ji and the ZhaoMing Anthology.In this condition,we can rediscover the value and state of Lu Ji's works.
