Known as the "father of China's general anthology," Xiaotong, the Prince Zhaoming of Liang dynasty, has always been the concerned figure in the field of history and literature. The Wen Xuan with unique culture and historical value, which is edited by him, is highly respected by scholars of each dynasty. Then "Wen Xuan study" appeared with the further study of the Wen Xuan by the latter scholars. On the other hand, there are still many sites related with the Prince Zhaoming, such as the Wen Xuan building, reading building, the pavilion for punctuating sutra and so on. In Chinese history, there were some sites of Prince Zhaoming, places for sacrifice and religious or secular buildings. A prince of Liang dynasty is still enshrined after thousand years, even as a local guardian angel, the reason and process of transform from a person into a god is worthwhile to consider further.Xiaotong(501-531), called De Shi, nicknamed Vei Mo, the eldest son of Emperor Wu in Liang dynasty, was established as the crown prince when he was two years old. He was studious, intelligent and upright, with the great favor of Emperor Liang Wu. His charitable character and benevolent morality was well -known between the government officials and the plebeian. The people at that time also spoke highly of him for his charming personality. However, the wise and promising princess dies from an accident, only in his 31 years old.Prince Zhaoming did not lost his influence after his death, instead, for thousand of years of history spreading, and gradually evolved into the god respected by the common people. From the national point of view, the feudal state commemoration of Prince Zhaoming begin at Liang dynasty, and reached a peak in Song dynasty, and the activities accepted by the latter dynasty. For the purpose of strengthening the management of folk belies and safeguarding national political rule, the feudal state incorporated the local cults in the national religion by conferring some titles on temples. At the same time, local officials'active promotion makes Prince Zhaoming faith further. Recognition of the local folk religion helps foreign officials to quickly integrate into the local custom. The Benevento and intelligent character of Prince Zhaoming is helpful to purify the quality of folk. For the consideration of integrating into the natives and purifying the villagers, Prince Zhaoming was enshrined by governors of Chizhou district.Compared to the national political forces in purpose of maintaining political domination, people's behavior are more cut of spontaneous In the transition of history, Prince Zhaoming god gradually was spread to Shucheng, Wuhu, Qimen, Xuancheng, even Jiangxi, Jiangsu and other places, the spreading area is very wide. The fundamental reason is the people's cult for Prince Zhaoming "divine nature". In folklore, God Prince Zhaoming has the almightily power of dispelling, eliminating fire, trial by ordeal and other functions. The confirmation of the clergy is the internal driving force of Prince Zhaoming belief's spread and continuation.The belief in Prince Zhaoming is closely related to folk admiration. It is not only the outcome of the promotion of state but also the outcome of spreading of religion. The work of Wen Xuan provides heritage in Chinese literature for descendants and further promotes men of letters' spirit to study. There are many works about the studying of Wen Xuan, especially essays and poem about memory Prince Zhao Ming. The reorganization to Prince Zhaoming's literature achievement is the reflection of Chinese advocating literature.Another promotion to form the belief in Prince Zhaoming is religious addition. Liang dynasty is an era of Buddhism prevalence and showing the basic trend about blending of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. In such a special historical period, Prince Zhaoming is respected Buddhism and Taoism, and there are Prince Zhaoming remains in many temples. After Song and Ming dynasty, some temples were regarded Prince Zhaoming as Buddhist of god. Through the publicity about temple, Prince Zhaoming beliefs have spread to Jiangsu and Zhejiang province and so on.Prince Zhaoming god plays a very important part in Nuo opera art of Anhui Province. Prince Zhaoming is well known in the country of Guichi who is once regarded as a "soil Lord ","ghost teacher" and "Case Buddha". Prince Zhaoming was the god of Nuo opera that all people will get in every temple fair. There implied a profound historical and practical reason:That Prince Zhaoming had eaten the fish was widely spread as an unforgettable legacy in the country. This history story was the historical foundation of people' belief in Prince Zhaoming. Prince Zhaoming's death protected people and satisfied the villager's desire which was also the foundation of people's belief in Prince Zhaoming. Folk aspiration was the force of Nuo Opera belief. The strong profane desire promoted Nuo god's power. The Nuo assembly which was based on Prince Zhaoming's belief in turn, enhanced the clan and village cohesion. Villagers expressed their emotion in the festival and strengthen local identity. We know from the study of historical documents. The belief in Prince Zhaoming is closely related to his force of personality, the double promotion of state-to-non governmental, the promotion of men of letters and the spread of religion. Prince Zhaoming evolves from people to god, which reveals the unique aesthetic pursuit of Chinese traditional culture making up people and god.
