For Lao She's creation during the period of Shandong from 1930 to 1937,many researchers saw it as the initial stage of Lao She's novel creation.Yang Yi put another view in the "History of Modern Chinese Fiction" : "From the fall of 1935 to the whole year of 1936,...It marked that he was ready to enter the ‘Golden Age' of his own novel creation with a highly conscious state of thought and art." Although the book does not explicitly discuss how Lao She entered the "Golden Age" of novel writing from the angle of thought and art, this paper believes that if we consider Lao She's personal comfort in the seven years while he lived in Shandong and the novel's works show the originality of the art and the maturity of literary thought(embodied in the consciousness of literary theory),and Lao She's continuity in life and creation in Shandong for seven years, the poriod while Lao She lived in Shandong can be described as the "Golden Age" for novel creation. This article is also divided into three parts. The first part of the thesis cuts into the comfortable life when Lao She lived in Shandong. From 1930 to 1937,Lao She mainly lived in Jinan and Qingdao,Shandong Province. The comfort of family life and work, and the stability of social environment provided Lao She with the possibility of entering the "Golden Age" of novel creation. The formation of a harmonious family, access to university work, editing newspapers and publications, making friends more and more extensive, and a free publishing platform, give Lao She a more comfortable creative environment. In addition,Lao She has unique Beijing citizen culture and the accumulation and reflection of the people's popular life in the flag, which makes the art of novels mature in his novel creation. From 1930 to 1937,Lao She's novel art matured. This is an important manifestation and reason why Shandong called the period "Golden Age" of Lao She's novels. The second part of the thesis mainly analyzes the original artistic features of Lao She's unique citizenship image, cultural environment, language and humor formed in the novels of Shandong period. In the aspect of citizen image portraying,Lao She added several classic characters to the modern literary world by shaping the typical Beijing citizen image and its meticulous psychological description under traditional Chinese culture. In the description of the typical cultural environment,Lao She enriched the content of the description of modern novel environment through a large number of folklore descriptions, and created the path of novels that used folklore to criticize and enlighten the national nature. In terms of novel language,Lao She gradually formed her own language concept while he lived in Shandong period, formed a vulgar and powerful language style, and created a true Chinese modern novel style.Lao She deliberately prohibited humor from the early slick writing humour, deliberately banned humor in the early days of Shandong, and decided to return to humor when writing a divorce. The humor not only matures in terms of skill, but also forms a realistic way of grasping life with humor.Behind the originality of Lao She's art is his conscientious critique, absorption, and creative transformation of ancient and modern Chinese and foreign literary theories. The period of Shandong was an important period for the development of Lao She's literary thought.By reflecting on the successes and failures of his own creation and summing up the lessons and experience of his creation,Lao She's literary theory came to consciousness and the literary thought came to maturity. The third part of the dissertation focuses on the self-consciousness of Lao She's literary theory. It mainly embodies the reference and transcendence of western literary theory, the criticism and internalization of Chinese classical literary theory, and the separation and communication of Chinese left-wing literature. This is another important reason and manifestation of the "Golden Age" for the creation of Lao She's novels in Shandong. Moreover, because Lao She was always dedicated to creation during this period, she did not want to be distracted by theoretical issues.Instead, she was able to maintain her independent theoretical personality..The thesis hopes to clear Lao She's novel creation through the two dimensions of life and creation, and to clarify that the Shandong period was an important period for Lao She's novel creation and to clarify the importance of Lao She Shandong's novel writing in his personal creation career and the history of modern Chinese literature.Contrasting consciously before and after the discussion process: Compared to Lao She's immaturity at the beginning of his creation from 1925 to 1930,compared to the decrease in the number of novel creations and the change of literary thoughts from 1938 to 1949,and even the last 20 years of his life. The creation of the "completed manuscript" phenomenon can clearly define the "Golden Age" of Lao She's novel creation in seven years in Shandong. The study of Lao She's novel "Golden Age" is a "modern Chinese literary master" : the relative comfort of life, the free flow of career, the world's artistic vision, the local experience of life, and the pursuit of personal style. These experiences still have important implications for contemporary Chinese writers on how to create classical works with Chinese type and Chinese style.
