Reappearance Of Movement And Time—A Study Of Francis Bacon's Painting Style

Sport and time the two elements that artists have always been trying to incorporate them into their works through various ways.People want to break the motionlessness in the two-dimensional plane.Around 1912,artists' understanding and discussion on time became popular,and the two elements(motion and time)became much more mature in the aspect of creation.Cubism developed from the form concept of “object” to the form concept of “motion”.And they deconstructed the essence of painting again by beyond time,space and so on.Francis Bacon is one of the greatest painters in the world.In his works,there are also many expressions about time and motion.His expression of these two elements is not limited to the picture itself,but is reflected in the structure,image and outline of the pictures.He expressed the concept of time in the distorted body.He also interpreted “reappeared reality” through these elements.This paper analyzes Francis Bacon's unique artistic style on the basis of the expression of motion and time in his works.Meanwhile,it also briefly introduces the inspiration of the fusion of characters' strong motion and potential time concept in the works for my own artistic creation.This paper is roughly divided into three parts: part one: the main line is the manifestation form of motion elements in Francis Bacon's works,and it interprets the role and value of the motion in the circle and the triptych.Part two: it discusses the manifestation form of time element in Bacon's works through “body without organs”and time content hidden in color in the works.Part three: through the cubism and futurism's elaboration of the manifestation form of motion and time,comparing Bacon's manifestation form in these two aspects,it highlights their differences and combines with the application of the law of entropy generation in physics in the aesthetic to express the reference and inspiration from the manifestation form of motion and time in Bacon's works for my personal creation.In a work,this paper starts with the motion and time in Francis Bacon's works,highlights the difference in motion and time between it and cubism and futurism.At the same time,it brings out the improvement and influence of his painting style on my own creation ability.
