Explore The Original Meaning And Association Of P.E And Sport From The Use Of P.E And Sport In European And American Sports Literature

In China,the concept of Physical education has always been an academic topic of long-term debate.There are many reasons for this,including the definition of “the essence of Physical education”,“the difference between defining conceptual methods”,and the translation of“external vocabulary Physical Education(P.E)and Sport”,and so on.The domestic Physical education and sports words are translated from the foreign words P.E and Sport.With the continuous progress of the society,P.E and Sport are constantly changing in content and value,which makes the understanding of Physical education and sports change.Understand the development of various aspects of foreign language vocabulary P.E and Sport,and provide a favorable reference for the definition of Physical education concepts.Therefore,this paper attempts to analyze the key points of the search,the historical sources,definitions and characteristics of P.E and Sport,the extension vocabulary,functions and usage in the foreign literature,through the use of literature,logic and quantitative comparison methods.Breaking the limitations of domestic scholars on P.E and Sport,and solving Physical education concept problems as the main task.Based on the analysis of the above content,it is concluded that:1.The nature of the P.E and Sport is different.The primary nature of P.E is education and education of the body.P.E is an area of the education system and an integral part of school training and education programme.And Sport,its nature is highly targeted,competitive sports,such as the Olympic Games,Asian Games,NBA,F.I.F.A and so on.Due to the advancement of society,the passion and welfare brought by this kind of sports make it belong to the entertainment category,which is quite different from the education category of P.E.2.PA is the source of all P.E and Sport activities,that is,P.E and Sport are both homologous.Both P.E and Sport are based on body movement(PA)and are the subordinate concept of body movement.This is the pursuit of human body's muti-value orientation of body movement,which has made P.E and Sport rich and diverse.P.E and Sport are not unrelated,but have subtle and inextricable connections.The two are interoperable when operating,and must obey their respective purposes.3.Sport is hierarchical in content,different levels are suitable for different groups,and each level has its own calling code,for example,Youth Sport,Elite Sport,Community Sport,etc.The author believes that different levels of Sport have different characteristics and goals.Therefore,it is necessary to limit and confine the Sport,thus solving the problem that the Sport definition is difficult.4.Word translation corresponding problem.In response to the domestic questioning of the translation of sports terminology,the author proposes that,first of all,it is necessary to accurately understand the ideas expressed by the translated term,and secondly,to accurately understand the meaning of P.E and Sport.Choose the appropriate words based on the core ideas that the term wants to convey,rather than whether the tangles correspond.Correspondence or non-correspondence is not the key to translation,but the understanding of the ideas and values of the translated terms.5.With the explosion of knowledge and the particularity of disciplines,P.E and Sport become more unique(Lumpkin,2005),that is,they differ in definition,scope,purpose,and nature.At the end of thearticle,I will make the following conclusions about the definition of PE and Sport during the postgraduate period: P.E(Physical education)is the individual's physical activity(PA)as the basic means to obtain body knowledge,motor skills and An attitude to health,an educational process that promotes physical development and well-being.Sport is a highly regular and competitive physical activity(PA)at the different levels of an individual or group that is designed to reward and enjoy entertainment.
