Objective and purpose:This study uses a randomized,single-blind,controlled method to study the curative effect on functional constipation with the acupuncture on abdominal tendons node and the acupuncture on conventional acupoints and objectively evaluate the effectiveness of the two acupuncture methods through data analysis. To explore the improvement of clinical symptoms and quality of life of patients with functional constipation by acupuncture on abdominal tendons node,in order to provide a safe and effective new method for clinical treatment on functional constipation, and then expand the application of meridian tendon theory on zang-fu diseases. Methods:The cases selected in this study were from patients with functional constipationwho were treated in the rehabilitation department clinic and gastroenterology clinic of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine Third Affiliated Hospital from January 2019 to December 2019.All sixty patients who met the criteria were randomly divided into a treatment group(tendons node group)and a control group(conventional acupoint group),with 30 cases in each group. The treatment group were treated using abdominal tendons node. The control group were treated using conventional acupoints:bilateral "Tianshu"(ST25),"Fujie"(SP14).Treatment was performed 3 times a week for a total of 4 weeks.Patients were required to fill in the Complete Spontaneous Bowel Movements(CSBMs),Patient Assessment of Constipation Symptoms(PAC-SYM),and Patient Assessment of Constipation Quality Of Life(PAC-QOL)before treatment,at the end of the 2nd week and the 4th week during treatment.Use SPSS23.0 statistical software to perform statistical analysis on the data and evaluate the clinical effect.Result:A total of 60 patients with functional constipation were included. The general information of two groups:age, gender, course of disease,BMI,and observation indicators of curative effect before treatment:there was no statistically significant difference between CSBM frequency,PAC-SYM score, and PAC-QOL score(P>0.05).1 Clinical efficacy analysis:At the end of the 4th week of treatment, the total effective rate in the treatment group was 93.3%,and the total effective rate in the control group was 70%,with significant statistical differences(P<0.05).The results showed that after 4 weeks of treatment, the total efficacy of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group.2 Analysis of CSBMs:In the two groups,CSBMs increased at the end of 2 weeks of treatment compared with before treatment, and at the end of 4 weeks of treatment compared with the end of 2 weeks of treatment, there was a significant statistical difference(P<0.05).The results showed that both methods can significantly improve the defecation frequency of patients. There was a significant statistical difference in CSBM at the end of the 2nd and 4th week treatments between the two groups(P<0.05).The results showed that the treatment group was better than the control group in improving the defecation frequency.3(1)Analysis of PAC-SYM total scores:There were significant statistical differences in the two groups,at the end of the 2nd week compared with before treatment, and at the end of 4th week compared with at the end of the 2nd week of treatment.(P<0.05).The result shows that both methods can improve the constipation symptoms of patients. There was a significant statistical difference in PAC-SYM scores between the two groups at the end of the 2nd week and the 4th week of treatment(P<0.05).The results show that the treatment group can more effectively improve the symptoms of constipation.(2)Analysis of PAC-SYM by age stratification. At the age of 20 to 39 years old, there were significant statistical differences within two groups at the end of 2 weeks of treatment compared with before treatment, and at the end of 4 weeks of treatment compared with the end of 2 weeks of treatment(P<0.05),indicating that both methods can improve the constipation symptoms of patients who are in this age stage. There was no significant statistical difference in PAC-SYM scores between the two groups at the end of the 2nd and the 4th week of the treatment(P>0.05).The results indicate that the two treatment methods have similar effects on the improvement of constipation symptoms on patients in this age stage. At the age stage of 40 to 70 years old, there was a significant statistical difference between the two groups at the end of 4th week compared with at the end of the 2nd week of treatment(P<0.05),indicating that both methods can improve the constipation symptoms of patients who are at this age stage. There was a significant statistical difference in PAC-SYM scores between the two groups at the end of the 2nd week and the 4th of treatment(P<0.05).The results indicate that the treatment group at the age stage from 40 to 70 years old can more effectively improve the symptoms of constipation.(3)Analyze the change of the total PAC-SYM score according to the course of disease.Among patients with the course of disease ? 5 years, there were significant statistical differences in the two groups at the end of the 2nd week compared with before treatment, and at the end of 4th week compared with at the end of the 2nd week of treatment(P<0.05).This indicates that both groups can effectively improve the symptoms of constipation. There was no significant statistical difference between the two groups at the end of 4th week compared with at the end of the 2nd week of treatment(P<0.05),indicating that for patients with a course of disease?5 years, the two treatments have similar effects on improving the symptoms of constipation.Among patients with a course of disease>5 years, there were significant statistical differences in the two groups at the end of the 2nd week compared with before treatment, and at the end of 4th week compared with at the end of the 2nd week of treatment(P<0.05).This indicates that both groups can effectively improve the symptoms of constipation. There is a significant statistical difference between the two groups at the end of 4th week compared with at the end of the 2nd week of treatment(P<0.05),indicating that patients with a course of disease>5 years, the treatment group was better than the control group in improving the symptoms of constipation.(4)Comparison of scores of various symptoms of constipation on the PAC-SYM scale(less feces, hard feces, incomplete defecation, difficult defecation, abdominal bloating). The above five symptom scores were analyzed separately, and there were significant statistical differences between the two groups before and after treatment(P<0.05).This indicates that both treatment methods can improve the symptoms of less feces, hard feces, incomplete defecation, difficult defecation, abdominal bloating.Comparing the 4th week of treatment between the two groups, the scores of less feces, hard feces and abdominal bloating were statistically significant.(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in incomplete defecation and difficult defecation(P>0.05).This indicates that compared with the control group, the treatment group has a better effect in alleviating the symptoms of less feces, hard feces and abdominal bloating4 Comparison of PAC-QOL scores:There were significant statistical differences in the two groups at the end of the 2nd week compared with before treatment, and at the end of 4th week compared with at the end of the 2nd week of treatment(P<0.05).This shows that both groups can effectively improve the quality of life of patients with constipation. There was no statistically significant difference in the scores between the treatment of at the end of-the 2nd and the 4th week(P>0.05).This shows that there is no significant difference in the improvement of the quality of life between the two groups of patients with constipation. Conclusion:I Acupuncture on abdominal tendons node and acupuncture on conventional acupuncture points have good therapeutic effects on functional constipation2 The clinical effect of-acupuncture on abdominal tendons nodes on CSBMs,PAC-SYM scores, and scores of constipation symptoms(less feces, hard feces, abdominal bloating)in the PAC-SYM scale is better than that of acupuncture on conventional acupoints.Acupuncture on tendons node and acupuncture on conventional acupoints have similar clinical effects for constipation symptoms in the PAC-SYM scale(incomplete defecation, difficult defecation)and PAC-QOL score3 Acupuncture on abdominal tendons node is effective in treating functional constipation, with good acceptability, and is suitable for popularization and application.
