A Comparative Study On The Naming Of Acupoints In The Trunk Of The Human Body

The naming of body cadres acupoints has a weak connection with the meridians and is closely related to the characteristics of the location,which should be treated differently with the limbs.The naming method of acupoints in comparative state is closely related to the relative position of the body.The naming of body cadres acupoints has obvious characteristics of imitating the ancient palace architecture,mainly imitating the location,shape and function of the architecture.The naming of acupoints were discussed in previous works according to the order of the fourteen meridians established after the song dynasty,which broke the connection on the parts.Most of the researches on comparative state are general and short of specific and systematic research.This paper divided acupoints by chest,abdomen and back and applies the method of philology to analyze the original meaning of the name of body cadres acupoints and its alias according to dictionaries such as Shuo wen jie zi.Combined with the records of A-B Classic of Acupuncture and Moxibustion and other ancient medical books on the meridian return,location and functions and comparing the ancient architectural paradigm,the paper comprehensively analyzes the linguistic,medical and cultural connotations of body cadres acupoints,and discusses the relationship between the naming of body cadres acupoints and ancient architecture.Finally,this paper summarizes the rules of comparative state,including the law of parts,the law of types and the law of characteristics.It is expected to open a new perspective on the exploration of the theory of acupoint naming and restore the human body operation model built by the ancient people,so as to perfect the previously undetailed theory,correct the misinformation and concentrate the scattered theory.From the point of the law of parts,the chest inside the heart and lung,the heart is the monarch,then the chest is equivalent to the monarch's palace city.The naming of the chest acupoints simulates the organizational form of the imperial palace in ancient China.The abdomen contains digestive and urinary systems,with the function of transferring water and valleys,which is equivalent to the underground piping system of palace.The operation of its functions depends on the opening and closing of doors,the transmission of pipes,and the transformation of pivots.As a result,abdominal acupoints are often named after the "door" or "door" related things such as the door,vacancy,shield and pivot,as well as the passageways and traffic arteries such as the tube,channel,pass,punch,beam,etc.,taking the hollow shape of tube and its physiological characteristics of water-valley transport.The acupoints on the back named after buildings are often similar to the thoracic and abdominal acupoints on the same horizontal plane in naming and indications,and have obvious correlation with the viscera.The name of the acupoints on the central axis of the back simulates the shape of the spine standing upright in the middle.The acupoints on the second side line of the back at the same level as the infusion points of the five internal organs are named after the gods hidden by the five internal organs and ancient buildings.Most of the acupoints on the second side line of the back at the same level as the infusion points of the six hollow organs and other tissue parts are directly named after their related parts and ancient buildings.The imitated architecture is closely related to the characteristics of the deity and viscera.From the perspective of the law of types,the number of acupoints named after"door","pass","channel","pivot" and "mansion" is the largest,occupying the top five places respectively,and there is an internal relationship between the building types.From the perspective of the law of characteristics,the number of acupoints named after the functional features of buildings is the largest,which reflects that the naming of acupoints pays more attention to the intrinsic characteristics of acupoints.In addition,this paper makes an in-depth research on the specific meaning of the two points of Wei Yi and Ping Yi.The author thinks that the perineal acupoint called Wei Yi is the collaterals acupoint of ren meridian.Dovetail point,also called as Ping Yi,is the original point of diaphragm.Furthermore,a new hypothesis is put forward for the route of the collaterals of ren meridian.In a word,the naming of body cadres acupoints show a complete three-dimensional model of city operation.Through this model,people can understand the form,position,functional characteristics of each acupoint and the connection between the acupoints at the same location,and deeply understand the operation state of the transmission,aggregation and transformation of vital substances such as qi,blood,body fluid and so on in the body.It is of great significance for remembering the name,location and function of acupoints,digging the clinical value of acupoints and deepening the understanding of TCM theory.
