Purpose:1.Develop a public stigma scale for Hepatitis B patients and carriers for nurses in China, and test the reliability and validity of the scale.2.To provide evaluation tools for nurses to evaluate the public stigma of Hepatitis B patients and carriers, and lay a foundation for the research on the stigma of Hepatitis B.Method:1.With professor Mayo's theory of Knowledge,Attitude and Practice as the framework, the initial scale of public stigma of nurses against Hepatitis B patients and carriers was formed through literature analysis and qualitative interviews.2.After two rounds of expert consultation, the initial scale was modified according to the expert feedback to form the pre-test scale of public stigma of nurses against Hepatitis B patients and carriers.3.The pre-test scale was applied to investigate the nurses in four hospitals of Shenyang, and the pre-test scale was evaluated through project analysis and reliability and validity test.In the end,the formal scale of public stigma of nurses against Hepatitis B patients and carriers was formed.Results:1.Through literature and qualitative interviews analysis, formed of the public stigma scale of nurses against Hepatitis B patients and carriers initial scale,a total of 27 items, related to Hepatitis B disease cognition, daily life attitude and behavior, professional attitude and behavior of three dimensions, route of transmission, susceptible population, living habits, infectious, daily life attitude, daily life behavior, professional work attitude, professional work behavior of eight sub-dimensions.2.The positive coefficient of the two rounds of expert consultation was 100%,the authority coefficient was 0.813,0.892,the Kendall's coefficient of concordance was0.308,0.421,and the variation coefficient was 0.084~0.387,0.000~0.274,respectively.According to two rounds of expert's opinions, the initial scale was revised to form a pre-test scale of the public stigma scale of nurses against Hepatitis B patients and carriers with 3 dimensions,8 sub-dimensions and 25 items.3.The critical ratio of 25 items in the pre-test scale was greater than 3.000,the correlation coefficient was greater than 0.400,the commonality was greater than0.200,and the factor load was greater than 0.450.The content validity index of the total scale was 0.993,and the content validity index of each item was between 0.833 and 1.000.The Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin Measure of Sampling Adequacy(KMO)value and chi-square value in the total amount scale were 0.829 and 1964.986(P < 0.05),respectively.Eight factors were extracted, and the cumulative explanatory variance was 68.104%.The Cronbach's alpha(Cronbach's ?)of the total scale and each dimension were 0.882,0.821,0.803 and 0.788,respectively.The semi-reliability coefficients of the total scale and each dimension were 0.933,0.903,0.808 and0.845.The re-test reliability coefficients of the total scale and each dimension was0.844,0.830,0.850 and 0.885.After project analysis and reliability and validity test, the formal scale of public stigma of nurses against Hepatitis B patients and carriers was formed with 3 dimensions,8 sub-dimensions and 25 items.Conclusion:1.This study based on professor Mayo's theory of Knowledge,Attitude and Practice, compiled the public stigma scale of nurses against Hepatitis B patients and carriers,a total of 25 items, related to Hepatitis B disease cognition, daily life attitude and behavior, professional attitude and behavior of three dimensions, route of transmission, susceptible population, living habits, infectious, daily life attitude, daily life behavior, professional work attitude, professional work behavior of eight sub-dimensions.2.After expert consultation, project analysis and reliability and validity test, the public stigma scale of nurses against Hepatitis B patients and carriers has good reliability and validity, which can be used to measure the public stigma degree of nurses against Hepatitis B patients and carriers,it is helpful to develop feasible interventionstrategies to reduce the public stigma of Hepatitis B among nurses so as to improve the quality of life of Hepatitis B patients and carriers.
