BackgroundIn China, the disability rate of stroke is as high as 75%,which seriously affects the patients' self-care and social interaction, and makes the patients have negative shame psychology. The sense of shame makes the patients behave as low self-esteem,avoiding social activities and other behaviors, which leads to the loss of social identity and quality of life.In the early stage of our research group,we developed the Stroke Stigma Scale(SSS)in China. The exploratory factor analysis shows that it has good applicability and reliability and validity, but it does not carry out confirmatory factor analysis. The norm is the reference standard used to compare and interpret the measurement results based on the test results of standardized samples. At present, the normal model of the scale has not been known, which affects the promotion and application of the scale. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the patients with stroke in Guangzhou,to verify its structural validity, understand the current situation of the patients with stroke, establish the norm of the Stroke Stigma Scale in Guangzhou,so as to further classify the degree of the patients with stroke and provide reference standards for the evaluation of the patients with stroke.Objectives1.To evaluate the validity and structure of the Stroke Stigma Scale by confirmatory factor analysis.2.To understand the current situation and influencing factors of stroke patients'sense of shame in Guangzhou, and to provide reference for medical staff and social groups to develop targeted individual intervention measures.3.To construct the normal model of the Stroke Stigma Scale in Guangzhou, and to provide a reference standard for stroke patientsMethods1.Confirmatory factor analysis was performed in 587 stroke patients, and the model fitness evaluation was performed on the Stroke Stigma Scale to verify its structural validity.2.299 stroke patients were investigated by questionnaire.Univariate analysis was used to compare the differences in stigma among the various variables;Spearman correlation analysis and stepwise regression analysis were used to explore the influencing factors of stigma in patients with stroke.3.A total of 1464 stroke patients in Guangzhou were selected for investigation.By analyzing the total scores of the Stroke Stigma Scale and the characteristics of the scores in each dimension, the mean norm was used to construct the mean norm, and the percentiles were established at 5%intervals.Count the norms, and use P25,P50,P75,and P95 as the boundaries to construct delimited norms.Results1.The confirmatory factor analysis structure shows that except for ?2/df and WRMR(?2/df=6.804,WRMR=1.505),all other fitting indices have reached the fitting standard(RMSEA:0.099,CFI=0.945,TLI=0.933),The model fits well.2.The study shows that stroke type, course of disease and daily activity ability were the main influencing factors of the level of stigma in patients with stroke.3.The general mean norm of the Stroke Stigma Scale in Guangzhou was(34.11±19.78)points;Establish a classification model based on gender, number of strokes, need for caregiver, age group, type of stroke, and course of disease;P25,P50,P75,P95 is used to classify the total score of the Stroke Stigma Scale from high to low into five states:very high, high, medium, low and lower.Results1.The revised model of the Stroke Stigma Scale has a good fit,and each dimension is closely related. It can be used as a tool to evaluate the level of stroke patients' stigma.2.Patients with stroke have a medium level of symptomatic sense, and the level of symptomatic sense varies with the ability of daily activities, the type of stroke and the course of stroke.3.The norm established for the Stroke Stigma Scale has good representativeness and can be used as a reference standard for the evaluation of stroke patients' stigma in Guangzhou.
