Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of acupoint application(Wenzhongzhixie application)and acupuncture in the treatment of diarrheal irritable bowel syndrome(pixushisheng syndrome)and the improvement of patients' quality of life,By using the method of randomized controlled experiment, the mechanism of action and clinical effect of Wenzhongzhixie application and acupuncture were systematically discussed from two aspects of theory and clinical research,so as to provide new ideas, diagnosis and treatment basis and support for clinical treatment of this disease. Methods: Sixty patients with diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome(pixushisheng syndrome)were randomly divided into two groups,30 cases in each group. On the basis of traditional Chinese medicine decoction(Shenlingbaizhu)and infusion treatment, the application group was treated with acupoint sticking Wenzhongzhixie application)combined with TDP lamp irradiation. The acupuncture group was treated with simple acupuncture. Both groups were treated for two weeks. The treatment course was recorded by questionnaire survey. Before and after the treatment, the clinical symptom scores and QOL scores were compared between the two groups. The efficacy and safety of the two groups were evaluated by statistical methods.Result: 1.Comprehensive curative effect: After 2 weeks of treatment, the total effective rate of the application group was 93.33%,and that of the acupuncture group was 86.67%.There was no significant difference between the two groups(P > 0.05).2.Symptom score: Comparing the application group with the acupuncture group before and after treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05);after treatment, the main symptoms score of the application group was better than that of the acupuncture group(P < 0.05);there was no significant difference in the secondary symptoms score between the two groups(P > 0.05);3.IBS-QOL Scale Score: Comparing the application group with the acupuncturegroup before and after treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05);after treatment, the warm application group was superior to the acupuncture group in four dimensions: DY,IN,HW and FA(P < 0.05).Conclusion: Both methods can effectively treat irritable bowel syndrome, and acupoint application(Wenzhongzhixie application)is more significant than acupuncture in improving clinical symptoms and quality of life.
