The Clinical Study Of Thunder Fire Moxibustion In The Treatment Of Allergic Rhinitis In Children

ObjectiveTo evaluate the clinical efficacy of thunder-fire moxibustion in the treatment of allergic rhinitis in children,and to observe its influence on TCM syndromes of children with allergic rhinitis.To confirm the effectiveness and feasibility of thunder-fire moxibustion in the treatment of children allergic rhinitis with deficiency of both lung and spleen,and to provide a safe,effective and operable external treatment method for the clinical treatment of this disease,so as to give full play to the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of allergic rhinitis.MethodsIn this study,40 children with allergic rhinitis of lung-qi deficiency syndrome were randomly selected from the pediatric clinic of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.Each moxibustion lasted about 15 minutes,once a day,5 days a week.Moxibustion of double ear hole,double auricle,Shangxing acupoint to Sugu acupoint,frontal part,acupoints are Suqu,Shangxing,Yintang,Qingming,Yingxiang and Hegu.After 28 days of thunder-fire moxibustion treatment,the clinical efficacy and TCM syndromes of allergic rhinitis before and after treatment were observed by interpreting the symptoms scoring table formulated by the Guidelines for Diagnosis and Treatment of Allergic Rhinitis(Tianjin,2015)and the Guidelines for Allergic Rhinitis of Japan Allergic Association in 2017.ResultsThe curative effect rate of main symptoms and total score of concurrent symptoms after treatment was 80%.Compared with before treatment,the total scores of main symptoms such as nasal obstruction,runny nose,itching,sneezing and complications such as spontaneous sweating,fatigue,lack of breath and laziness,shortness of breath decreased significantly(P<0.05).ConclusionThe main symptoms and concurrent symptoms of allergic rhinitis of pulmonary-spleen deficiency type were relieved after 28 days of thunder-fire moxibustion treatment,and no recurrence occurred within 3 months after the treatment was stopped.
