1 Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Chinese herbal medicine granules in the treatment of primary headache. To verify the efficacy of Xuanxie Tongqiao method in the treatment of headache, and to provide evidence for the treatment of primary headache by Chinese medicine.2 Methods:59 patients with primary headache were randomly divided into two groups, including 29 in the treatment group and 30 in the control group. The treatment group took the headache Chinese medicine decoction, and the control group took the western medicine for prevention. All patients were treated for 4 weeks. We would take a record when taking 4 weeks and stopping for 4 weeks.Taking the patient’s headache diary as the main basis, and referring to the"Diagnostic Criteria for Head Wind Disease Syndrome" and the "Guiding Principles for Clinical Research of New Drugs in Traditional Chinese Medicine",the number, duration, and pain of headache attacks in the two groups before and after treatment and after withdrawal.Head-related indicators such as degree, headache score, and TCM syndrome scores were evaluated.3 Results:The efficacy of the two groups was 79.3%in the treatment group and 50.0%in the control group. The difference was statistically significant(x2=5.526,P<0.05).The frequency of headache after treatment and after stopping the treatment group,Headache time, headache level, headache scores were significantly improved compared with before treatment(P<0.05);headache frequency, headache time, headache degree, headache score, headache time after withdrawal, headache degree The headache score was significantly improved compared with that before treatment(P<0.05),and the frequency of headache was significantly increased after stopping the drug(P=0.047).The change rate of headache scores was compared between the treatment group and the control group. After four weeks of treatment, the median change rate of headache scores in the treatment group was 0.33,and the median change rate of headache scores in the control group was 0.19.The headache score of the treatment group was significantly improved compared with the control group(P=0.000);after four weeks of drug withdrawal, the average change rate of headache scores in the treatment group was 0.48,and the mean change rate of headache scores in the control group was 0.16,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);4 weeks after treatment, two The group headache time, headache frequency, and headache degree change rate were higher in the treatment group than in the control group. The difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).After the drug was stopped for four weeks, the frequency of headache attack was compared between the groups. The median of the two groups was 0.67.,-0.33,the difference was statistically significant(P=0.000).Symptoms and Curative Effect Indicators:The majority of patients with primary headaches accounted for 96.6%of the wind syndromes.Fire syndrome, phlegm dampness, blood stasis, and stagnation syndrome were more common.Among them, the wind syndrome was mainly severe, accounting for 57.9%of the severity;Dampness syndrome, stagnation syndrome,qi deficiency syndrome, yin deficiency syndrome, and mild stagnation were the main proportions, accounting for 68%,68%,68%,75%,and 94.7%,respectively.Syndrome distribution is more common in a variety of symptom combinations, with 3 or more symptoms accounting for 88%.After treatment in the treatment group, the treatment group had a significant improvement in wind syndrome, fire syndrome,phlegm-dampness syndrome, blood stasis syndrome, and stagnation syndrome scores(P values were 0.000,0.000,0.001,0.019,0.008),and qi deficiency. There was no statistically significant difference between the syndrome and yin deficiency syndrome before and after treatment(P=0.414,0.434).After the treatment, the scores of the syndromes of the wind syndrome were significantly improved(P=0.000),and there was no statistical difference between the fire syndrome, the phlegm syndrome, the blood stasis syndrome, the stagnation syndrome, the qi deficiency syndrome and the yin deficiency syndrome. The P values were 0.0502,0.056,0.115,0.053,0.059,0.083,respectively.4 Conclusion:The treatment of primary headache with headache can be the same as that of conventional western medicine, and it has obvious advantages in long-term efficacy. After the headache and conventional western medicine treatment, the wind syndrome was significantly improved, and the headache can effectively improve the wind, fire, phlegm, phlegm and stagnation syndrome of the primary headache.
