Clinical Study Of Hyperbaric Oxygen Combined With Scalp Acupuncture In The Treatment Of Cognitive Impairment After Stroke

Objective: To observe the effect of scalp acupuncture combining with hyperbaric oxygen on the mind and cognitive of patients with post-stroke cognitive impairment.Methods: 90 patients with post-stroke cognitive dysfunction were randomly divided into three groups: scalp acupuncture group,hyperbaric oxygen group and scalp acupuncture unites with hyperbaric oxygen group(30 cases in each group2).The scalp acupuncture in hyperbaric oxygen group was given conventional treatment combining with scalp needle treatment.The scalp acupuncture group was given scalp acupuncture.The hyperbaric oxygen group was given hyperbaric oxygen therapy.The three groups were treated once a day,5 times a week,10 times as a course of treatment.MMSE?Mo CA and MBI were evaluated before? treatment for the 10 times and after treatment.To observe the improvement of cognitive impairment and compared for 3 groups in before,middle and after treatment.Results: After treatment,scores of MMSE,Mo CA and MBI on scalp acupuncture combining with hyperbaric oxygen group were improved(P <0.01).Scores of MMSE and MBI on hyperbaric oxygen group were improved(P< 0.05),and Mo CA were improved(P< 0.01).Scores of MMSE,Mo CA and MBI in scalp acupuncture group have been improved with statistical significance(P < 0.05).Hyperbaric oxygen group had significantly higher scores of Mo CA than scalp acupuncture group(P < 0.05),scores of MMSE and MBI with no difference(P > 0.05).Indicators in scalp acupuncture combining with hyperbaric oxygen group have been improved more significantly than hyperbaric oxygen group and scalp acupuncture group with statistical significance(P< 0.05).Indicators in scalp acupuncture combining with hyperbaric oxygen group have been improved more significantly than scalp acupuncture group with statistical significance of MMSE(P< 0.05),Mo CA and MBI(P< 0.01).Conclusion: The effect of scalp acupuncture combining with hyperbaric oxygen on the psychosis and cognitive competence of patients with cerebral infarction is obvious.It has better treatment effect than separate use of hyperbaric oxygen and scalp acupuncture.1.Hyperbaric oxygen therapy and head acupuncture therapy can improve the cognitive function of patients with post-stroke cognitive impairment,improve memory,intelligence and understanding,and improve the ability of patients to take care of themselves.2.Both scalp acupuncture combined with hyperbaric oxygen and individual head acupuncture or hyperbaric oxygen therapy can effectively improve cognitive function after stroke,but the effect of head acupuncture combined with hyperbaric oxygen is better than that of single use of hyperbaric oxygen or scalp acupuncture in improving cognitive function.3.Scalp acupuncture combined with hyperbaric oxygen is effective in the treatment of poststroke cognitive dysfunction,with simple and safe clinical operation and few side effects,which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
