Research On The Correlation Between Health Literacy Level And Self-care Ability Of Pregnant Women During Perinatal Period

Objective:By understanding the status of perinatal pregnant women' s health literacy and self-care ability,this study explored the related factors that influence the perinatal pregnant women' s health literacy and self-care ability,as well as correlation between health literacy of perinatal pregnant women and her self-care ability,providing scientific basis for the future development of scientific and feasible interventions and improve the level of health literacy,reduce maternal and neonatal mortality,promote maternal and child health.Methods:This study is a descriptive study from January 20,2017 to October 20,2017.A total of 360 outpatients with perinatal pregnancy who meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria of two comprehensive top three hospitals and one specialized hospital in Changsha were selected as the research object.Questionnaire of general situation,exercise of self-care Agency Scale and "maternal and child health literacy questionnaire" were used to investigate them.SPSS18.0 software was used to input,analysis and process the data.Results:(1)The total score of 360 perinatal pregnant women' s health literacy was 41.79±12.93,pass rate is 8.9%.And the three dimension scores were 29.04 ± 10.18(health basic knowledge and ideas),7.41±3.02(healthy lifestyle and behavior),5.34±2.45(health basic skills).Their self-care ability was 114.22±20.53,the ability was 0.3%,52.2%,and 47.5%at low,medium,and high levels,respectively.And the three dimension scores were 21.15±4.41(self-concept),14.99 ± 3.59(self-responsibility),31.06±6.11(self-cares kills),47.02±9.35(health knowledge level),respectively.(2)The single factor analysis shows that gestational age,floating population,educational level of pregnant women and their husbands' education level,occupation of pregnant women and their husbands' occupation,payment of medical expenses,evaluation of health literacy,relationship between husband and wife and whether pregnancy will have impact on work is statistically significant for the differences in perinatal pregnant women' s health literacy level(P<0.05);their age,gestational age,floating population,educational level of pregnant women,payment of medical expenses,whether this pregnancy is an unplanned pregnancy,quality of sleep,number of health literacy asses'sments,whether pregnant is worried about affecting work,compliance with medical examination,pregnant women ' s curriculum,self-rated health statusin self-care ability is different,the differents is statistically significant(P<0.05).(3)According to the logistic regression analysis,there are six influencing factors of health literacy regression analysis model,gestational age,whether it is a floating population,her husband's education level,pregnant women occupation,husband occupation,and whether the pregnancy are worried about the impact of work.The OR values were 0.177?0.115?0.010?0.030?2.771?0.187.There is a total of six factors into influencing factors of self-care ability regression analysis model,pregnancy age,birth time,husband occupation,quality of sleep is good,several times to participate in health literacy assessment,pregnancy is worried about the impact of work,OR values were 0.097 and 0.132?0.253?3.520?0.376?4.757?2.017.(4)Correlation analysis showed that:The level of health literacy of perinatal women is positively correlated with self-care ability(r=0.155,P<0.05).Conclusion:(1)The level of 360 perinatal pregnant women' s health literacy is of low level and their self-care ability at a middle high level.(2)Gestational age,whether it is a floating population,her husband' s education level,pregnant women occupation,husband occupation,and whether the pregnancy are worried about the impact of work are important influential factors of the perinatal maternal health literacy.Pregnancy age,birth time,husband occupation,quality of sleep is good,several times to participate in health literacy assessment,and whether the pregnancy is unplanned pregnancy,whether the pregnancy is worried about the impact of work are the most main factors of self-care ability.(3)Perinatal pregnant women's health literacy and self-care ability was positively correlated.That is to say,the higher the health literacy level and self-care ability,the better the self-care ability.For the special group of pregnant women who are during the perinatal period,the same health education measures should be taken to improve their health by acquiring the relevant knowledge and skills and promoting maternal and child health.
