The safety performance of automobiles has always been a problem that is closely related to people's lives,and it is also a problem that the whole society attaches great importance to.The improvement of safety performance of automobiles mainly involves passive safety and active safety.Passive safety is the safety performance of automobile crash,and the crashworthiness of the automobile structure is directly related to the life safety of the occupant.With the growth of car ownership and the development of traffic,the casualty rate of traffic accidents has brought huge losses to the country and the people.It is of great significance to study the crash safety performance of automobiles.This paper takes a company's multi-purpose passenger car as the research object to study its crash safety performance.Firstly,it briefly introduces the domestic and international research work in the field of automobile crash safety performance research.Following expounds the basic theory of automobile collision finite element and related software.Secondly,the method of combination of finite analysis and experiment is used to study the safety performance.The collision simulation model is established for the front impact and the side impact according to the regulations after the finite element modeling of the target vehicle is completed,including the establishment of the rigid wall,the setting of the boundary conditions,the establishment of the MDB model and the loading of the speed.The front impact simulation results and the side impact simulation results are analyzed respectively after the simulation is completed.The crashworthiness of the front and side structures of the car is analyzed and the structure that needs to be optimized and improved is proposed.The frontal crash real vehicle test is carried out according to the regulations,and the simulation results are compared with the test results.Finally,according to the result analysis,the multi-objective optimization design of the longitudinal beam structure of the vehicle body is carried out,and the crashworthiness is improved while ensuring the weight is not increased.The material and thickness of the multi-parts of the side structure of the vehicle body is optimized,and the main structure is further improved.Finally,the optimization scheme is applied to the whole vehicle for simulation calculation,and the results are compared with the results of the original model.The results show that the crashworthiness performance of optimized model has been improved,the effectiveness of the optimization is verified.
