Research And Application Of The Evaluation System Of The Test Question Bank Based On The Blackboard Platform

With the information technology widely applied in field of education,the educational informatization process continues developing and exploring.Online education has been stepped into the period of vigorous development since the first year of MOOC era in 2012.Under the encouragement of the Ministry of Education,some universities joined the MOOCs project and quality resource sharing courses project in order to meet the demands of informational development.Meanwhile,some universities built online courses by introducing online teaching platforms and promoted educational reform by using flip classroom mode or blended teaching.As one of the most widely used online education platforms in the world,the Blackboard platform has been used to build online courses and improve the quality of teaching.The quality of online teaching mostly depends on the effectiveness and completeness of the learners' knowledge that gained from the online teaching platform.In most cases,the quality of teaching could be reflected from the evaluation of students'learning.However,how to use the Blackboard platform to conduct objective,comprehensive,and developmental evaluations for students remains a concern.Besides the powerful function of data tracking,online test is also important to evaluate learning process.Therefore,it is urgent to set up an assessment system based on the practice and test modules on the Blackboard platform.This thesis is guided by humanism theory,constructivist learning theory,blended learning theory,mastered learning theory,and developmental assessment theory.We collected different evaluation systems of test question databases through literature review and experience of Blackboard teaching platform,such as Coursera platform,Chinese University MOOC,School Online,and Superstar.Then,we analyzed these courses' database of evaluation questions,the evaluation tools,evaluation methods and technical support.Finally,we comprehensively compared the evaluation system of each question database which will provide reference for building physical chemistry questions bank in Blackboard.This thesis is focused on the construction and application of physical chemistry test database in the Blackboard platform.(1)Construction of Test Database.Considering the advantages of different platforms and the traits of physical chemistry,we designed the test question system including chapter exercises,self-evaluation and peer review assignments,chapter exams,and stage exams.Then,we constructed the corresponding evaluation system for practice,homework,self-test and examination.(2)Application of Test Database.Taking the chapter of the electrolyte solution in the physical chemistry for example,we collected the feedbacks and suggestions with issue electronic questionnaires after the students participated in the chapter exercises,self-assessment and mutual assessment operations,chapter test and combination discussion.Based on the feedbacks for the evaluation of the test bank evaluation system,the quality of the questions,the peer assessment and the operability of the platform,we found that the students participated in the tests full of enthusiasm that would be helpful to consolidate and understand the knowledge from the classroom.In addition,the discussion and answering questions modules in the Blackboard platform can positively promote the communication between students that would change their learning attitude,improve their thinking ability and cultivate science literacy.In this thesis,we designed the question bank evaluation system and explored its application in the hybrid learning evaluation by using literature research,case analysis,curriculum implementation and questionnaire survey.We anticipate that our research could provide some advice in the construction of the network course test question bank evaluation system and promote the development of online course evaluation.
