The Six Sigma management has been achieved good performance as it was valued by the whole world and extended to every walks of life since the 90 s of last century.The advantages of Six Sigma Management in quality improved and process optimized have been widely accepted,especially in manufacturing enterprises.This paper research is the application of Six Sigma Management in K Company which is example of manufacturing enterprises,which optimized process of new product to enhance the competitiveness of products by reducing the delay and shortening the development cycle with the DMAIC method of Six Sigma management.Firstly,this paper puts forward the background and research content of the subject,and explains the framework and principle of Six Sigma Management in detail from the following three aspects: concept,method and system evaluation.Then,it introduces the six sigma tools,such as Pareto chart,flow chart,C&E,FMEA,RACI and so on.On this basis,this paper analyzes the status of K Company,and points out that the main problems of new product development are that the development cycle is so long and the milestone is delayed seriously.To solve the above problems,this paper uses the DMAIC method of Six Sigma:Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control,to analyze the problems in different process with tools.It puts forward the M0 process optimization? project change control process adding? product planning process implementation,the release flow of product document optimization ?prototype process optimization,pre-prototype process adding and new parts supplier selection process optimization and so on,according to strengthening pre-planning and reducing problems of trial manufacture.Finally,it uses the tools of RACI ? three kinds of review meeting and issue tracking template to ensure the implementation performance of the process which is evaluated by FMEA.Two newproduction projects were tracked with new actions,they were completed on time without delay and reducing project milestone,which show that the implementation of Six Sigma had achieved the expected effect.The research results show that the Six Sigma management is effective to optimize the process of product development for K Company and to improve the development efficiency.The ideas and methods of this study are also a good reference to optimize the product development process for manufacturing industry enterprise.
