Research On Five-year Strategic Plan Of Suzhou KC Company

With the continuous development of globalization,marketization and informationalization,more and more companies are paying increasing attention to strategic management and formulating corporate strategies by various forms.Strategy formulators are uneven in theoretical level and practical experience and lack thorough understanding of companies,causing strategic plans unable to be implemented.Currently,theoretical research and practical operation of corporate strategic management are also under the circumstance in which strategy formulation is emphasized while strategy implementation and evaluation are not.Taking the five-year strategic plan of KC Company as an example and applying basic theories and methods of strategic management,this paper elaborates the formulation process and content of this plan,including analysis on strategic environment of the company,its development goal,corporate-level strategy,business-level strategy and function-level strategy,safeguard measures for strategic implementation and other related contents.The analysis and evaluation are made and corresponding improvement suggestions are given on this basis.This paper considers that deficiencies are existing in both formulation process and content of the five-year strategic plan of KC Company,mainly including: the company' insufficient recognition of the importance of the strategic planning,ambiguous responsibility,unreasonable method existing in the process of strategy formulation,limitations of strategy analysis tools,maladaptation of vision and values to corporate development,unscientific strategic goal,inconsistency of strategic system,and difficult implementation of strategic plan.This paper proposes corresponding improvement suggestions against these problems existing in the five-year strategic plan of KC Company: KC Company should fully realize the significance of the five-year strategic plan,specify the assignment of responsibilities for the strategic plan formulation,select appropriate strategic planning methods,adjust the original vision and values,reasonably set up and resolve strategic goal,strengthen the consistency of strategy and enhance the feasibility of the strategic plan.This paper aims at exploring the practical formulation process and content requirements of the strategic plan through an empirical study and further discovering the internal logical relationship within the corporate strategic planning system.Therefore,it has certain referential significance for both formulation and evaluation of corporate strategy.
