The characteristics of high-tech industry makes its agglomeration higher than other industries.The effects of industrial agglomeration on labor productivity are likely to have two aggregation effects:MAR and Jacobs.It is of great practical significance to analyze the effects of China's high-tech industry agglomeration on labor productivity and the existence of stage characteristicsăspatial differences on high-tech industry management.Therefore,this paper uses 2004 to 2014 31 provinces and cities' high-tech industry 'double-digit' industry panel data,by linear regression and non-linear regression on the impact of high-tech industry agglomeration and labor productivity.The results of linear regression show that diversification agglomeration can improve labor productivity,but its significance is not robust,and specialization agglomeration will restrain the improvement of labor productivity.What's more,it is found that the impact of diversification and specialization agglomeration on labor productivity in the eastern region and the central region is not significant,and the effect of the western region on labor productivity is consistent with that at the national level.The panel threshold test show that the effect of diversification and specialization on labor productivity is not only a simple linear relationship,but a complex nonlinear relationship,and this relationship in the region there are some differences.Diversified agglomeration is more consistent with nationwide.the eastern region and the central region;the western region there is no threshold effect.There is a significant negative impact on labor productivity both at the national level and in the central region before the second threshold,while the second threshold has no significant effect on labor productivity.The eastern and western regions both had negative and significant effects before and after the two thresholds.A further investigation of the human capital as a threshold variable reveals that there is a certain difference in the effects of diversification agglomeration and specialization agglomeration on labor productivity in various regions,and there is a complex non-linear effect on labor productivity. |
