It has been more than thirty years since the concept of "IoT" was proposed in 1985.In recent years,it has been increasingly recognized and given more attention in the industry and has entered the public's awareness in the recent two years.It has been listed as an important strategic development direction in the “National Guidance on Strategic Developments of Emerging Sectors During the 13 th Five-Year Plan ".The age of everything-being-connected is just around the corner.With the technology development together with cost reduction of transmission and chip,the IoT has undergone transformation and upgrading in many trades such as industrial manufacturing,agriculture,energy and environment protection.The IoT is becoming an important tool for multi-industry integration,integrated innovation and large-scale development.At present stage,the domestic IoT industry is still immature in China,the industrial structure is not perfect,and the subdivided market is rough,leaving a huge room for the development of technology companies engaged in the IoT.These companies have the problem of strategic awareness,inefficient market development and irrational organization.Consequently,it is crucial that we should study the strategy of the SMES technical development.The Research will be a vital basis for sustainable growth and it will affect every aspect of the company operation.Based on the theory of strategic management,this article takes Jilin Tianheng Information Technology Co.,Ltd.as an example to deal with the problems in the process of business development.Through the use of PEST model and Michael Porter's Five Forces Model,the article analyzes the current situation of the company's macro-environment such as politics,economy,humanities,technology along with the development of the IoT industry.With the favorable national policies and the booming development of the IoT,the prospect of the market is promising and the room for the company's development is huge.By analyzing the basic situation of the company's internal business processes,financial situation,human resources and so on,this paper finds out the problems which hinder the development of the company in many respects,for example strategy formulation of the company's development,organizational structure optimization,personnel training and operation management.Secondly,by means of the method of SWOT analysis,the paper summarizes the company's internal environment,opportunities and threats encountered due to the rapid exchanges of the external environment,and presents a development strategy suitable for Jilin Tianheng Company.The company takes on the strategy combination of WO and ST and the product diversification business model is selected;the LPWAN-IOT is adopted.Through strategic alliances of partners,high-tech integration strategy is achieved to increase the overall competitiveness of enterprises.At the same time,the company have chosen the application market of the agricultural LPWAN-IOT to deepen the demand for the integration of agriculture and seek higher profit growth.Finally,the paper conceives the overall development strategy for the company,optimizes the organizational structure and recourses for the future 5 years,develops an applicable measure for the company to join the agricultural IoT,creates strategic alliances for SMS's enterprises,enhances the complementarity of recourses,and promotes the profitability of the company.Meanwhile,the internal control mechanism should be set up,risk assessment systems are to be established and the strategic development goals will be assessed quantitatively to ensure the practical implementation of the company's development strategy according to the paper.The studying of the development strategy of the Jilin Tianjin Information Technology Co.,Ltd.together with making new strategies for sustainable development is of long-term significance.The study is applicable to other science and technology enterprises with similar scale and situation.The paper and its study is of great value for the development strategy research of small and medium-sized technology enterprises.
