The Relationship Between External Knowledge Acquisition,Dynamic Capabilities And Innovation Performance

With the continuous development of economy,and the more and more fierce market competition,for enterprises,innovation becomes a necessary condition for their survival and development.In the background of knowledge economy,knowledge resources become the most important resources of the enterprise,but the slow accumulation of internal knowledge is difficult to effectively meet the requirements of the enterprise to improve the innovation ability and maintain the competitive advantage.Therefore,acquiring knowledge from outside is particularly necessary for enterprises.The knowledge resources obtained from external enterprises can not be used directly for enterprises because of their "relative stickiness" and "rigidity".They must be absorbed through the necessary digestion and absorption to improve the innovation performance of enterprises.What is the mechanism of external knowledge acquisition and innovation performance? The existing research has not come to a consistent conclusion.In the face of turbulent external environment,dynamic capability is undoubtedly the most important capability for enterprises to cope with complex and changeable environment.Knowledge resources are the most important resources for enterprises.Dynamic capabilities help enterprises a dapt to the changing external environment and promote the transformation of knowledge into performance.What are the boundary conditions for the relationship between external knowledge acquisition and dynamic capabilities? Few of the existing studies are involved.Based on the analysis of the relevant literature on external knowledge acquis ition,dynamicability and strategic flexibility,this paper,based on the open innovation theory,puts forward the theoretical model of this paper and carries out an empirical test.On the basis of referring to the relevant literature at home and abroad,we determined the measurement items of variables in this study,and conducted questionnaires to collect relevant data.The multiple statistical regression analysis method is used to test and verify the relationship between external knowledge acquisition,dynamic ability and innovation performance,and the adjustment of strategic flexibility.The results show that external knowledge acquisition is positively related to enterprise innovation performance.Acquisition of external knowledge is beneficialto the improvement of enterprise innovation performance;external knowledge acquisition is positively related to dynamic ability;dynamic ability is positively related to innovation performance;dynamic ability promotes enterprise innovation performance.Through the above research,this paper further improves the relationship between external knowledge acquisition and enterprise innovation performance,explores the intermediary role of dynamic capabilities.At the same time,according to the results of this study,we put forward the policy suggestions to improve the innovation performance of China's enterprises.Finally elaborates the deficiencies of this paper and the future research direction of related research.
