Research On The Consumption Structure Of The Rural Households In Shanxi Province

With the development of economy and society,the place of the rural areas of Shanxi Province has undergone tremendous changes,the income and consumption level of rural residents has steadily increased,the quality of life has improved significantly,the basic subsistence needs of farmers have been met,and the residents 'consumption has been moving from subsistence level to affluence level.However,compared with the consumption level of Shanxi urban residents and the farmers in developed areas of China,there is still a big gap between farmers in Shanxi Province,in addition,there are still many factors hindering the continuous upgrading of the consumption structure of rural residents,such as the consumption habits of rural residents,rural consumption environment,and so on.In this paper,first of all,this paper systematically expounds the domestic and foreign research results and theoretical models of consumption structure.Then the author analyzes the current situation of rural residents ' consumption structure,the changes and characteristics of each stage and the existing problems at present.And then use the global mainstream AIDS model to study the changes of farmers 'consumption structure in Shanxi,and explore the characteristics of consumption expenditure in 20 years.Thirdly,the paper studies the influence of income factor on the change of consumption structure from the gross income level and source structure respectively.Finally,it presents the reasonable and effective policy suggestion according to the conclusion of the study and the actual situation in Shanxi.Through the study of this paper,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)From the changes in the consumption expenditure,representing the living type of clothing,food consumption has been declining,residential consumption is currently a hot spot of Shanxi rural residents consumption,in addition,represents the survival,enjoy the consumption of the proportion of spending is rising.(2)In the study of the change of consumption structure,the change degree of consumption structure and the value of information entropy are great,which reflects the constant escalation of farmers 'consumption structure in Shanxi province,and the main factors that cause the change of consumption structure are different in different stages.(3)The consumption structure of rural residents in Shanxi has the following problems at present: Compared with the average level of the urban residents and the rural residents,the income andconsumption level still has a big gap,while the living consumption ratio is declining,but the proportion is still more than half,the consumption of the development and enjoying type means is very weak,and the consumption structure still needs to be optimized.The rising proportion of housing consumption is one of the most important factors affecting the change of consumption structure,and the large housing consumption crowding out the development,enjoying consumption is not conducive to the upgrading of consumption structure,Shanxi farmers still have unhealthy consumption habits,irrational consumption problems,the poor rural consumption infrastructure needs to be further improved.(4)Using AIDS model analysis,the results show that: the expenditure elasticity of food and clothing consumption is less than one and decreasing,the elasticity of educational and entertainment consumption expenditure is more than one,and the expenditure elasticity of living,household equipment and service,medical care,transportation and communication consumption is more than and and decreasing,among which,the living expenditure elasticity is bigger,reflects the housing consumption is the focus of the current Shanxi rural residents,only properly solve the housing problem of Shanxi farmers in order to promote the sustainable upgrading of farmers ' consumption structure in Shanxi.(5)The growth of income can bring about the change of consumption expenditure,but when Shanxi farmers ' income increases,it is utilized to increase food and living consumption first.(6)Wage income and operating income as stable income of Shanxi farmers can be expected.It is the main impetus to promote the growth of various consumption,the transfer of income will lead to health care,education and entertainment consumption expenditure,so as to promote the upgrading of consumption structure,therefore,in order to promote the optimization of consumption structure,it is necessary to increase the transfer income on the basis of stabilizing the peasant's wage and operating income.
