The retail industry is an important part of the national economic system.As an industry directly connected to the producer and consumer,it has an important influence on people's life and the stable development of the overall economy.Industrial competitiveness has always been the hot spot of the industry economics research problem,with the expansion of the Internet and the development of technology,online retail in retail share of more and more big,therefore,for the Internet age retail competitiveness research will more and more important.To improve the competitiveness of the retail industry in the Internet era is of great practical significance to optimize the industrial structure and improve people's livelihood.In recent years,the industry scale and market capacity of Hunan's retail industry have been increasing.In 2016,the retail sales volume and total assets of Hunan province exceeded the total of 4661.9 billion yuan and the total assets of 1988.4 billion yuan respectively.With the expansion of Hunan retail scale,its competitiveness is also increasing.This paper aims to establish a retail competitiveness evaluation system to evaluate the retail competitiveness of Hunan province,and then analyze the influencing factors of the retail competitiveness of hunan province in the Internet era.This paper firstly defines the related concepts of retailing,and summarizes the related theories of industrial competitiveness and retail competitiveness.Then it analyzes the development status,advantages and problems of Hunan retail industry.In previous scholars about retail industry competitiveness evaluation system of Hunan province is set up on basis of retail industry competitiveness evaluation system,the evaluation index system including four aspects,respectively is reflect the industry index,index of development potential,which can reflect the performance index and the index reflecting the development environment,in Hunan province retail trade data from 2000 to 2016,using the factor analysis method to get the quantitative indicators of retail industry in Hunan province from 2000 to 2016.Then to Hunan province retail competitiveness as the dependent variable,the per capita GDP,reception travel,regional final consumption and the total number of Internet users,profit margin as independent variables,using multiple regression method to analyze the influence factors of retail industry competitiveness of Hunan province,the results showed:(1)the per capita GDP has no significant negative influence on retail trade competitiveness of Hunan province;(2)the total number of reception tourists has a significant negative impact on the retail competitiveness of Hunan province;(3)the final consumption of the region,the number of Internet users and the profit margin have a significant positive influence on the retail competitiveness of Hunan province.Based on the above analysis results,this paper proposes several Suggestions to improve the competitiveness of Hunan's retail industry :(1)expand the scale of the retail industry and expand the multi-level market;(2)vigorously develop logistics industry and strengthen the construction of supporting facilities in retail industry;(3)improve the industrial structure and improve the final consumption rate;(4)accelerate the informatization construction of retail industry and strengthen the construction of e-business park;(5)strengthen chain brand building and improve the concentration of retail market.
