Studies Of Agricultural Inputsdynamic And Structure Of Crops Farming In Shanxi Province

With the rapid economic development,agriculture faced a critical challenge from the transformation of traditional agriculture to modern agriculture in China.It is important,for the healthy and sustainable development of agriculture,to further promote the characteristic modern agriculture transformation and upgrading.The planting industry is the basis of agricultural production.In this study,based on statistical data,we analyzed the production inputs and the cropgrowth for planting industry of Shanxi Province.The main results were as follows:(1)The labor with junior and senior in rural households accounted for?82.7 of total rural household's labor.The proportion of college or higher education was very low,but gradually increased.(2)The amount of plastic film,agricultural diesel and pesticide increased gradually in agricultural production in Shanxi Province,at the rate of 0.13×104,0.08×104,0.67×104,and 0.1×104t year-1,respectively.Nitrogen fertilizer and compound fertilizer were the main chemical fertilizers in crop production.The application rate of nitrogen fertilizer and phosphate fertilizer showed gradually stable after an increasing trend.The potash fertilizer and compoundfertilizer showed an increasing trendto889.2%and 631.2%.(3)In the past 30 years,the agricultural machinery gross power in Shanxi Province increased year by year.Among them,medium and large tractors and their associated agricultural tools started to increase sharply in 2004.Small tractors and their associated agricultural tools maintained a growing trend.(4)From 1965 to 2010,total sown area of crops gradually decreased 1.69%per year,but it showed abasically stable trend since 2010.From 1985 to 2013,total sown area of crops showed a stable trend.The cerealcroptook the main proportion,especially maize and wheat.(5)From 1985 to 2013,the sown area of legumes and potato crops increased first and then decreased slowly,but the total yield fluctuated greatly.The sown area and total yield of cotton showeda decreased-increased-decreased trend.But the yields of oil crop increased gradually.The sown area and total yield ofvegetable increased year by year from 1985 to 2003,and then the sown area remained stable,but the total yield grew steadily.The planting area of fruits and vegetables was basically stable,but total yield increased.
