| G Electric Power Design Institute,a subsidiary of State Nuclear Power Technology Corporation,is competent in engineering design and consultation for AP1000 third generation nuclear power plant,large capacity and high parameter thermal power plant,ultra-high voltage power grid projects,and renewab.le energy projects.EPG service is separated from G Electric Power Design Institute when it became a member of State Nuclear Power Technology CorporationDue to China's slowing economic growth,currently there is an overall surplus of power supply capacity.All enterprises throughout power industry chain,from power equipment manufacturers,engineering design institutes to construetion companies,are fecing the challenge to go abroad in order to survive.For engineering design institutes,there are possibly two options to go abroad:The first one is to act as a high-end consultancy company to provide whole process services to project hosts,ranging from project planning,financing,risk assessment to execution management;the second one is to act as an EPC contractor to provide turkey project services.How to draw up and implement its internationalization strategy is an urgent issue to be addressed for G Electric Power Design Institute.This article firstly analyzes the internationalizationmotives of G Electric Power Institute;Secondly,it analyzes the internal and external environment of G Electric Power Design-Institute by deploying the SWOT model,through which competiveness of G Electric Power Design Institutes identified;Thirdly,the strategic vision of G Electric Power Design Institute is translated into ultimate objectives and mseasurable targets;Fourthly,by building oil Michael Porter's Five Forces Model,the Indonesia,Zimbabwe and Turkey electricity markets arc analyzed,and the international market entrance mode and competition strategy is identified.Finally,guarantee measure on international development is stated in four aspects,i.e.,market,human resources,management and capabilities,based on which,the competiveness of G Electric Power Design Institute will be nourished.This research will not only benefit G Electric Power Design Institute itself but also provide valuable reference for international operation of other Chinese enterprises. |
