China Shipbuilding industry has experienced a rapid development ever since the end of 19'90.Consequently the order intake of Chinese Shipbuilding Industry has ranked No.1 in 2010 by overtaking Korea.Meanwhile marine equipment manufacturers also have achieved a tremendously fast development in this market.The local Chinese manufacturers have also achieved substantial development in respect of company scale,technical capability,quality control and management skills,etc..The shipbuilding industry chain has been gradually improved.Almost all big brands of foreign equipment maker have come to China and set up JV or wholly owned companies in order to obtain a better business development or strengthen their global market share respectively.But along with the deepened global world economy crisis,China Shipyards have been heavily affected by insufficient new orders to support Shipbuilding industry to survive.The structural readjustment and industry upgrading of the industry has happened inevitably.Especially to local equipment makers,the strategy of focusing on China market for business development has been regarded as the prominent reason leading to such a dilemma when the local market scale became smaller or the competition became intensified.In order to make a break-through and create a bright future,China local brand of equipment makers should be active to go to the international market and attend competition and cooperation in global markets.So it's very urgent and imperative for local companies to work out proper internationalization strategy and understand how to implement it in the most suitable way.This paper is about the research on how to work out DM company international market entry mode.Under guidance of the relevant theories and based on the general conditions'analysis of the target markets and DM company itself,the author tries to work out the most suitable market entry modes respectively in combination of internationalization strategic goals and the value chain upgrading purpose.It's firmly believed that DM Company can achieve sustainable development through the success to be achieved in various target markets supported by the well selected entry mode respectively which are to be flexible based on different development phases.Not only Going Out but also Going Up is the pursuit.Shipbuilding is one of the pillar industries in China.It's part of the goal in the 13th Five-Year Plan to further develop this industry and the related equipment manufacturing industry.The author hopes this paper can provide useful reference and theory frame guidance for the local companies to work out their suitable market entry mode strategies and achieve sustainable development in all the target countries.Also it would be a small contribution if this paper could be helpful for boosting the healthy internationalization development of the local manufacturers as well as the development of the related theory system.
