Research On User Satisfaction Of Public Library Lectures

The construction of the public cultural service system directly affects the various cultural rights enjoyed by the public.The report of the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China mentioned establishing and improving the public cultural service system,further improving the efficiency of public cultural services,and striving to build a sound public cultural service by 2020.In Xi Jinping's speech,he mentioned that the construction of public cultural service system is inextricably linked with the development of society and the maintenance of public rights.In order to successfully complete the current goal of struggle,China must regard the construction of public cultural service institutions as an important work.Culture is the soul of the entire nation,and the construction of the public cultural service system is inseparable from the realization of the Chinese dream.Culture can play its leading role,and it will unite the entire Chinese nations.Among all kinds of public cultural service institutions,public libraries are a typical representative.It not only has distinct social significance,but also has multiple cultural functions.The lectures in the public libraries constantly provide the public and the seekers with access to knowledge and information,build a platform for leaders,experts,scholars and the general public to communicate extensively,forming “urban classrooms” and “citizen classes” for everyone,in order to enhance the power of people with knowledge and to show the charm of the city with wisdom.This paper takes three public libraries in Huangpu District,Xuhui District and Changning District of Shanghai as the case study.Firstly,it defines the concept of public library lectures and users' satisfaction,and analyzes the lectures of three public libraries.At the same time,it sorts out the status quo of research on the satisfaction of public libraries at home and abroad and the research status of public library lectures.Through the theoretical background of literature research and the evaluation indicators of scholars,this paper divides the users' satisfaction indicators of public library lectures into five factors: users' expectation,the lecture service,users' perception,users' satisfaction and users' loyalty.Questionnaires were distributed through the users of three public library lectures in Huangpu District,Xuhui District and Changning District.By collecting the survey data,the author adopts the methods of frequency analysis,factor analysis,confirmatory factor analysis and research model method in order to analyze the influencing factors of users' satisfaction in the lecture.The results of the study shows that the retirees over the age of 60 were the highest group to participate in public library lectures.In terms of users' satisfaction,users' expectations,lecture services,and users' perception all have a positive impact on customer satisfaction.Finally,based on the results of questionnaire survey and empirical analysis,this paper summarizes the current problems in public library lectures and proposes corresponding improvement measures and recommendations.In view of the lack of publicity of public library lectures,this paper proposes to publicize library lectures by setting up promotional banners in the nearby subway stations and enhancing the cooperation between libraries and local communities.In addition,in view of the professional competence of lecture experts,this paper suggests that a professional ability assessment system should be established and a special system for hiring lectures should be established.Since the operation of the public libraries has a positive impact on the development of public library lectures,this paper also proposes to strengthen the operation of public libraries.District-level public libraries can appropriately seek for corporate funding,broaden the channels for raising funds,comply with the trend of the times,improve the quality of educational facilities,and enhance publicity,thus ensuring the construction of public library lectures and truly realizing the goal of the modern information public library lectures.
