Design And Implementation Of Mobile Curriculum Management System In Colleges And Universities

With the rapid development of information network technology,the breadth and depth of information applications at academic institutions continues to improve,where teachers and students' actual needs have been met using the portable operation management application system.This paper presents the universities framework for the mobile course selection and design system,comprising of five mobile application functions,namely i)user login module ii)student elective module iii)teacher module iv)query model v)system management and vi)maintenance module.The user login modules main function is to verify the identify information and role of the system user,leading to different interfaces according to varying purposes.The course selection module represents the core function of the system,supporting students course choices towards their independent professional development.Viewing,selecting and adjusting of courses are controlled by the student.At the end of each class,students are able to view their final class schedule by accessing the student elective module,where the elective list is automatically saved to the systems database.The teacher module supports the students course selection information but is also able to modify,re-select,withdraw or by-elect before the course selection is finalized.The educational administration department determines the final course selection.The query model allows users to view all pertinent information relating to a particular course.The systems management and maintenance module support the use of authorized staff at the Academic Affairs Office.This module has a control level,namely the system function surface,which highlights constraints of each course as well as the setting of certain function switches to indicate class size,time,location,etc.System administrator can updates,upgrades and organizes the system.The mobile course selection system can support academic institutions in a number of areas,from flexible curriculum planning,to tea cher curriculum support as well as independent student course selections.This system is able to answer questions and supports teacher-student interactions enabling management to better support teachers to enter and analyze the distribution of students' grades in a timely manner.The system has been tested to meet the fast and convenient course selection requirements of academic institutions as well as to provide support for improving the efficiency of course selection management.
