Research On The Characteristics Of Short Video News Communication Of Provincial Party Newspapers Under Media Convergence

The current media environment is in the period of integration of traditional media and emerging media.With the rapid development of mobile Internet,people pay more and more attention to convenient and efficient media consumption.Traditional media are facing great challenges,and media convergence has become an inevitable trend of The Times.In this context,both the news industry and the academic community have carried out practical exploration of media convergence.The year 2016 is called the "first year" of short videos.Nowadays,short videos have become the "reporting artifact" of many media and the "reporting standard" of major events.Although the time is limited,they are warmly welcomed by readers because of their visual and real-time features.Provincial party newspapers in China are also actively using short video in news reports.This paper takes two provincial party newspapers,Inner Mongolia daily and hunan daily,as examples,to study the characteristics of provincial party newspapers using short video in news communication under the background of media convergence.This paper first introduces the plight of the provincial party newspaper in the media convergence environment,and discusses the necessity of the provincial party newspaper to use short video for news reporting.Secondly,through the sampling content analysis of the short video news of the two party newspapers,from the video length,whether there is a column,the type of topic,the amount of play,the amount of interaction,and other 13 aspects of statistics,the analysis shows that the two party newspapers in the content,production,release of the three advantages,but there are some shortcomings.Finally,by summarizing the shortcomings of the short video news of the two provincial party newspapers,this paper focuses on the problems that may exist in the use of short video in the news dissemination of other provincial party newspapers in China,and gives appropriate strategic Suggestions from the four aspects of content,production,operation and talent.
