In recent years,with the expansion of the new media,there are an increasing number of different forms of media type appearance.They are not only changed people's life,but also affected the direction of development of traditional media.And even led to the transformation of the media revolution.Many scholars have proposed or supported the argument of"disappearance of newspaper","paper media will surely die".But in fact,in spite of the innovation and advancement of media technology maybe could affected the traditional media's development,but it would not be put to death.And diversified media environment will promote the exchange and transfer of information,meanwhile,provide a better information environment to the audience.This paper selected the typically provincial level party newspaper as the case to analysis and research its advantages and disadvantages,and how to use its own strength to proceed media interaction.This paper has six chapters,the first part will introduce the new media and media convergence.The second part in this paper will introduce the Chinese party newspaper's characteristics and the importance for our country.The third part in this paper will analysis the Chinese provincial party newspapers' history and current situation in new media and media interaction strategies,and study their advantages and disadvantages.The fourth part will evidence from Hubei Daily to analysis how it doing in new media and media convergence,and to find its strength and deficiency.The last part will put forward some suggestions for Chinese provincial party newspapers to enhance the effects in new media and media interaction and convergence.
