Software-Defined Networks(SDN)offers the new solutions to revolutionize the hierarchical structure in traditional networks.To achieve the decoupling of the Control Plane and the Data Plane in the SDN structure,there are related to two kinds of SDN network elements: the Controller of Controlling Plane and the Forwarding Device of Data Plane,which communicate through the southbound interface.The southbound interface protocols supported by the SDN Network Element also includes the atypical SDN southbound protocol,BGP-LS and PCEP besides typical OpenFlow.The existing network element performance tests that support the southbound protocol are mainly focused on the SDN Network Element devices that support the OpenFlow protocol,while the Network Element performance tests that support the atypical SDN southbound protocol are still in the development stage.It is a research with practical application value how to sort the network elements performance test indexes supported by the atypical SDN southward protocol,design the test methods and implement the test system.As for the above problems,by theoretical analysis,methodological research and simulation verification what this thesis mainly research is as follows:1.In term of the researches of the Network Element performance test index system which supports the atypical SDN southbound protocols,the thesis first puts forward the principle and process of building the index system.On this basis,on account of the two atypical SDN southbound protocols,BGP-LS and PCEP,the thesis employs the test case design method of black box test to collect and screen the SDN network element performance test indexes for these two southbound protocols.Finally,this thesis builds the test index system to ensure the levels of test indexes based on the test content and the characteristics of SDN architecture.2.After finishing the study of test indexes,this thesis designs a general test method for the performance of Network Elements that supports the atypical SDN southbound protocol based on the formal description of the existing performance testing process,and will divide it into three steps: test preparation,test started and test result analysis.Above all,the second step involves the processing of the atypical SDN southbound protocol message.Finally,this thesis uses the general test method of the Network Element performance,then combines the characteristics of the test index,finally gives the specific test method of each index.3.Then this thesis further applies the test method to design and implement the Network Element performance test system that supports the atypical SDN southbound protocol.The system consists of three parts: the front-end interface,the test system dispatching board and the test execution component.Above all,the test execution component completes the function of capturing,sending and analyzing the atypical SDN southbound protocol message.Through building the SDN network environment,the test system creates the test scenario,executes the test process,analyzes the test results,and provides a concise front-end interface to show the test results and the execution logs of each module to users.From what has been mentioned above,this thesis has been verified by the Network Element performance test that supports the BGP-LS and PCEP protocols,and can finish the Network Element performance test for the atypical SDN southbound protocol,which is used to further explore the research work of the Network Element performance test of the atypical SDN southbound protocol.
