Mobile short video began to explore in 2012,and a large number of applications were intensively launched in 2016,showing explosive growth.Nowadays,this new medium has become an important tool for social actors to produce life and interpersonal communication.This not only changes the form of media communication,but also promotes changes in human social life and ways of thinking,and further influences social structure.Social actors construct new social capital in the network virtual social space constructed by mobile short video media and the elements of trust,emotion,norms and constraints generated in the process of interaction with other social actors.This study firstly combs and analyzes the use of mobile short video media,individual social capital theory and the correlation between the two through literature research methods.Based on this,the author summarizes and draws the individual with mobile short video as the medium.Social capital is mainly divided into three types: information layer capital,emotional layer capital and material layer capital.Different from the traditional media era,it is necessary to build on the network built by acquaintances.This kind of new social capital is more inclined to the bridged social capital formed by the network relationship such as interest,eye and ambition.By clarifying relevant concepts,an in-depth interview outline is designed to provide an examination model for deeper research.Then,this study used the surveyed user portrait data as a reference to find 14 representative mobile short video users for in-depth interviews.Try to explore how individual actors use mobile short video media to build social relationships in virtual space.The resulting positive and negative effects of social capital and the factors affecting individual social capital stock.In the end,this study mainly draws three conclusions:(1)The effectiveness of social capital construction in the relationship network of mobile short video media is mainly determined by the resources or capabilities mobilized through media activities.If the influence of other actors is deep and the scope of influence is wider,we It is considered that the relationship network of the short video medium is good,that is,the individual has a high social capital stock.(2)Individual actors encounter various resistances when moving short video media activities.These resistances come from social constraints,platform regulation,and ethical regulation.It is expected to gain more social capital,and it is especially important to adapt to the rules.(3)The duration of the use of mobile short video media,the energy of betting,the way of using it,and the ability of media transmission will affect the stock of individual social capital to a certain extent.The choice of which type of social capital to build will depend on the subjective and objective needs of the individual and the extent to which the demand is met.On this basis,this study summarizes the positive effects of mobile short video media for individual social capital construction: building a production environment,accelerating information transmission,improving the efficiency of accessing economic capital,helping interpersonal bonding and unblocking emotional communication;At the same time,there are negative effects: stress socialization promotes self-escape,alienation of real-life interaction,and social solidity caused by circle solidification.Finally,based on the above analysis and argumentation,this study proposes how to strengthen the effect of individual social capital construction from the information layer,the emotional layer and the material layer capital.This study cites the sociological theory to interpret the phenomenon of communication,and finds another way.Although it is an exploratory study,it also achieves innovation from a theoretical perspective.At the same time,I hope to help more mobile short video users to deeply understand the rules and essence of the platform,to express themselves more easily and freely,and to understand the behavior of others and to carry out more benign and friendly media activities.
