The study inspects a case named Gui village in-depth, using a variety of methods, esp.the ethnographic method, and present the "panoramic view"of China rural community of interpersonal communication networks, organizational communication ones, mass communication oness and new media communication ones nowadays, then interprets the social communication phenomenon of the village in the transformation period, and discusses the different functions of different types communication networks,finally, explores the relationships between communication and village social development, which is an intersection study between communication and sociology.The dissertation first introduces the natural environment, the establishment evolution, social evolution profiles of Gui village, as the inspecting object, and analysis the economic conditions of villagers; and then defines some concepts, such as "communication network", and so on, which are the basic concepts of the theoretical framework in the study, proposes the "communication of five views "as a basic framework of contemplation, at the same time, limits the scope of the study.The dissertation argues that interpersonal relationship is an important link to maintain the village order, it expands among the interpersonal communication network, interpersonal communication network lies in the core circle of the social communication network.of the village.The dissertation states, according to the field survey data, the role is not fixed between communicators and audiences in the interpersonal communication networks of the village, which often occurs replacement each other; and discusses the phenomenon of "three figurative culture" mainly; in particular, it reveals a special interpersonal communication of the village-gossip spread.The dissertation subsequently examines the process administrative organization how to penetrate into the village, and the new performance a national political organization how to embedded in the Gui village,and depicts the communication of educational organization in the Gui village fully, in particular, it reveals a special kind of organizational communication-folk the communication, taking the hanging lamps, February 2nd temple as examples, and shows the real prospect of the folk; and carry out an event-process analysis which village political organization give impetus to the tourism communication vigorously. The dissertation describes the functions of integration, control, and recognition that various forms of rural organization communication have had.The dissertation depicts comprehensively villages' access and use of mass media,i.e. newspapers, magazines, books, radio, film, television,etc, and examines the villagers' TV experience-where to watch, how to watch and see what, and focuses on the villagers' TV uses and gratifications through "thick description" in order to show the effect of the spread of television in rural. Based on the complexity of the functions of mass communication, the dissertation re-examines a number of rural television research points of view that spread widely.In new media communication networks, the dissertation describes mainly the computer network and mobile communication networks in the village. The dissertation examines the exposure and application tendce of the computer networks in the villagers' daily life. On the basis of a field survey about the phone ownership, the dissertation develops an empirical analysis of mobile phone usage of villagers. It was observed that village communities turns to the mediation, an obvious "digital divide" exists in the villagers' usage of new media,and the media literacy of villagers needs to be improved urgently.On the basis of Gui village case of social communication networks, the dissertation describes further the relationship between social communication networks and development of the village, and points out that each social communication network has the functions of integration, liberation, exchange, cognitive and segmentation. There is some central figure in different rural communication networks, known as the "genius", their location in the community communication network called "node", whose concept of communication and behavior have diffusion and influence in rural communities, are accepted by most of the villagers gradually, and gradually form a consensus of rural communities, which leads to the change of rural community cultural patterns and lifestyle. "Genius", as the village elite, take part in the construction of village, who act as opinion leaders, and have an impact on the development of the village.The dissertation constructs a structure model of communication learning from the existing rural research results, which is "village community-based,farmer-centered".The dissertation stresses that the rural social communication network is a complex and varies from the basic functions of the different levels of communication networks——the network of interpersonal communication is relatively stable, which focuses on the maintenance of interpersonal order, piarticipants of which emphasize reciprocity;organizational communication varies severely,organizational communication network is the strongest to the development of community cultural and change in social structure, which is focused on the integration, participants of which focus on gaining the security and identity recognition in the organization; mass communication is the most prominent communication pattern in the village, the villagers achieve the cultural consumption and enjoy the entertainment massage of spirit through contact and use of mass communication networks; new media communication network has a functional integration, which is the most promising in the social communication networks in rural communities.
