Abstract/Summary:
With the arrival of the era of knowledge economy,intangible assets such as knowledge,technology and information have become the core elements that determine the competitiveness and business performance of enterprises.Compared with other industries,the listed companies in the publishing media industry with "content as the king" has a higher proportion of intangible assets.What is the impact of intangible assets on the operating performance of listed companies in the publishing media industry? How to better invest and manage intangible assets? It is of great significance for listed companies in the publishing media industry.This paper adopts the methods of normative research and empirical research,and takes the listed publishing and media companies as cases to study and analyze the relationship between intangible assets and business performance.Firstly,the concept,characteristics and classification methods of intangible assets are sorted out.Combined with the statistical analysis of the information disclosure of sample companies,this paper proposes the classification standard of intangible assets and the concept definition of enterprise operating performance.Based on the research of literature and theory,the paper analyzes the function mechanism of the intangible assets of the listed companies in the publishing media industry on their business performance.On this basis,taking the data of 15 a-share listed publishing and media companies as samples,this paper makes an empirical study on the impact of their intangible assets on business performance.The results show that both operating profit on financial index and market index tobin Q value as characterization of corporate performance variables,overall intangible assets and knowledge technical intangible assets are on firm's performance was positively to promote the role,this means that companies want to achieve long-term development,must pay attention to the knowledge technical intangible assets,so as to improve the business performance of enterprises and the enthusiasm of investors.Starting from the theory of enterprise resources and the value-driven theory of intangible assets,this study can help enterprise managers to clarify the effects of different types of intangible assets by quantitatively analyzing the relationship between intangible assets and enterprise performance.And the mechanism by which intangible assets affect enterprise performance.On this basis,we can formulate a more targeted enterprise development strategy,reasonable capital investment,improve the management measures of intangible assets,and maximize the value of intangible assets,so as to comprehensively improve the profitability and business performance of China's publishing media industry.
