With the development of science and technology, the function of intangible assets is becoming more and more significant. Intangible assets are important economic resources, however, the intangible assets management of publishing industry is rather backward in China. Owing to the intangibility, intangible assets are easy to run off if they can't be well managed. In order to make these immaterial properties create the biggest economic benefit, we should take effective measures to plan, to organize, to guide and to control. It is necessary to strengthen the intangible assets management of publishing industry in China.This thesis is divided into three chapters.Chapter 1 mainly covers the connotation, the characteristics, the function of intangible assets, and the necessity of the management.Chapter 2 is a textual focal point, introduces and analyses the management principles and methods of publishing chartered right, copyright and the concerning right, trademark right, goodwill, trade secret and patent right in detail.Chapter 3 puts forward some countermeasures on how to strengthen the intangible assets management of publishing industry in China, expounds from the state, the publishing trade associations and the publishing enterprises.
