With the development of wireless communication system and standard diversification,the degree of system intellectualization is getting higher and higher.The reconfigurable technology is the key technology to realize the intelligence of the system.Through the control of the passive network by the switch and the variable-capacity device,the front-end transceiver module can be reconstructed and the multi-function can be realized.As the core component of the system,the power amplifier plays a key role in the performance of the whole system.It is one of the current hot issues.In this paper,the lumped parameter single-pole single-throw and single-pole three-throw PIN switches are designed from the point of view of reconfigurable devices.In order to improve the performance of reconfigurable devices,a distributed PIN switch is designed based on LC resonance theory.Through the simulation of the three switches,the feasibility of the design is verified.In the theory of reconfigurable power amplifier,single-frequency reconfigurable power amplifier matching structure,which the main circuits are fixed and branches are adjustable,which control by single-pole multi-throw switch,which control by based on ground switches and one of whose type is L-type,are proposed.Through the in-depth study of reconfigurable theory,the matching theory of dual-frequency reconfigurable power amplifier and broadband reconfigurable power amplifier matching theory are proposed.Finally,the proposed theory is verified by derivation and analysisBased on the GaN HEMT power transistor,a high efficiency reconfigurable power amplifier,broadband reconfigurable power amplifier and reconfigurable power amplifier based on ground switches are designed.Among them,the high efficiency reconfigurable power amplifier can suppress the harmonic of the output circuit to improve the efficiency.Based on the closed form solution theory,broadband reconfigurable power amplifier is realized by the distributed PIN switch,which is used to control the branch of the matching circuit.The reconfigurable power amplifier based on ground switches uses ground switches to control the output signal to realize the switching of the power amplifier.The simulation results show that the output power of the three amplifiers is about 40dBm and the PAE is more than 32%.The high efficiency reconfigurable power amplifier and the reconfigurable power amplifier based on ground switches are fabricated and tested.The test results show that at 1.75GHz,2.1GHz and 2.6GHz,the small signal gain of the high efficiency reconfigurable power amplifier is no less than 10.2dB.The saturation output power is no less than 37.5 dBm and the PAE is about 40%.The small signal gain of the reconfigurable power amplifier based on ground switches is no less than 10.9 dB,the maximum output power is no less than 36.7 dBm,and the PAE is more than 23%.From the measured results,it can be seen that the designed reconfigurable power amplifier meets the working requirements of each frequency band,and the correctness of the proposed reconfigurable power amplifier theory is verifiedThe paper has 70 figures,11 tables and 76 references.
