| Network simulation technology is beneficial for the network structure optimization and network performance enhancement under the limited resources.Simulation data recording and playback technology is an important approach for the network evaluation.There are certain limitations for common network simulation software in the aspect of data recording and playback.For most network simulation software,the files,in which they stored the simulation data,can only opened by themselves,which has no universality.In this paper,we researched on the technology of simulation data recording and playback based on QualNet for the demand of simulation data recording and playback.Firstly,an interface for data exchange between database and network simulation software,i.e.,Qualnet,was investigated.For each simulation scenario,the interface could obtain the static information before simulation began and the instantaneous information during the simulation time periodically,and then sent the data through a socket to the database.Secondly,to solve the problem of the poor visibility and complex operation of database,a GUI via Qt to check and to operate the databases,which can observes the simulation data more conveniently,was developed.Finally,we used 2D map window to playback the simulation scenarios to test the proposed architecture for data recording and playback.Experimental results show that the simulation data recording and playback software can record the data of simulation scenario in the QualNet network simulation software precisely.The developed GUI is able to receive the command of user and perform the correct operation as response,which brings a better interaction experience between user and database.Therefore,the proposed architecture for data recording and playback provide useful technique support for the follow-up work of network simulation such as network analysis and optimization. |
