Computer network simulation technology plays an important role in the researchof network protocol model and performance. With the expansion of the network scale, the traditional network simulation technology is unable to complete the task ofnetwork simulation within the required time simulation. In other words, the scalabilityof network simulation is limited. This thesis surveys recent related research, andanalyzes the difficulties of large-scale network simulation and the shortcoming of thecurrent studies. This paper focuses on the limitation for the scalability of wirelessnetwork simulation.According to the characteristic of propagation of radio waves, we propose theconcept of simulation theater, based on which we can limits the scope of exchangingdiscrete event among the distributed simulation servers. In order to exchange thesimulation of discrete event between adjacent simulation theater s, we developeddiscrete event simulation interactive interface for the QualNet. We can unite multipleindependent simulation theaters with this interface, and then those servers can providea large-scale network simulation system as we want. By this way, we expand thescalability of the network simulation. Finally, the experiments are performed to test the discrete event simulationinteractive interface. We find that this interface can efficiently exchange the real-timesimulation data between adjacent simulation theaters, and achieve the goal of unitingmultiple simulation theater. However, we also find some shortcoming of the discreteevent simulation interactive interface, such as simulation time is not synchronizedamong multiple simulation theaters, and we will consider those issues in the futureworks.
